Page Drafts 'One of a Kind' Challenge

Just sharing my layout for the Page Drafts 'One of a Kind' Challenge. The challenge was to celebrate 'one of a kind' and use one of Em's sketches.

I decided to do a companion page to my White with 1 page and scrap about feeding the giraffes at Werribee Zoo which made my birthday 'One of a kind'. Here is my take on the challenge. I again went with a gold and white theme. I created a background of gold watercolour and gold Kaisercraft paint and added some gold heat embossing and Viva Decor gold ferro texture paste. I used some Studio Calico and My Mind's Eye pp and some glitter tape from D-lish Scraps. I mounted the circular photos on gold glittered cardstock and added a wire frame to my main photo. My cluster comprises a FWAB Maddison flower, some smaller Prima flowers and some leaves cut out of gold cardstock.

And here are some close ups.

I used sketch 30.5  as I had a lot of photos I wanted to include in my layout.

Thanks for looking.

The Scrapbook Store May Sketch challenge

Today I'm sharing with you my entry for the Scrapbook Store May challenge.
This is a layout including a photo of my daughter and I taken on Mother’s Day last weekend by my son. I created the background using watercolour paint and then stenciled the brick design on using some Viva Decor Ferro Texture Paste. I then added a few splatters of mists and added some sequins and some individual FWAB adhesive pearls in teal. I used two pieces of patterned paper from the Kaisercraft Snapshots range and one piece of base paper from Kaisercraft.
IMG_1513For my cluster I used a FWAB Grace Pearl flourish in teal.

I used a couple of flowers and I also sprayed a FWAB Elise white flower with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Starburst spray in Cattail Copper Brown.

The chipboard circle frame is from Blue Fern Studio and purchased at the Scrapbook Store. It was also covered with the Cattail copper brown spray.

Cardabilities Sketch #99

Back with some more Kaisercraft Mr Fox. Have I said I think this is my all time favourite Kaisercraft collection. I have created 3 layouts and 2 cards so far out of it and I still have quite a bit left.
Anyway today I have a card to share for the Sketch challenge #99 over at Cardabilities.
I kept with a grungy theme this time. I have heat embossed in copper using a Kaisercraft background texture stamp.

I sprayed the cogs with Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Cattail Copper Brown.
Added a Prima bling arrow under the sentiment.

A couple of CAS cards

I'm enjoying getting back into card making. Here are a couple of CAS (Clean and Simple) cards I have made for a couple of challenges,

The first is for the CAS-ual Friday Challenge no. 131 which is Three Thirds? The idea is to use three of something, could be colours, sequins, etc on just 1/3 of the card, and keep it clean and simple.

Here is my entry:

I dry embossed a piece of card stock with the Swiss dots folder at both ends leaving a blank piece towards the bottom. In this I have included 3 chevrons in 3 different colours and a sentiment which consists of 3 3 letter words! The chevrons and sentiment are from the Kaisercraft Confetti 12x12 sticker sheet.

My second card is for the CAS on Sunday #33 sketch challenge. It was a sketch challenge but a pretty similar theme to the one above.

Here is my take on the sketch:

I have used 3 moustaches and a sentiment from the Kaisercraft Mr Fox 12 x 12 sticker sheet.
Here is the sketch it is based on:

Blue Fern Studio Sketch and Off the Rails chipboard challenge

Hi,

I have recently fallen in love with Blue Fern Studio chipboard. I bought a load recently from the Scrapbook Store and this is the third layout I have done using some of it. I decided to enter the May sketch challenge over at Blue Fern Studio and also enter it in the current Off the Rails challenge which is to use chipboard. In fact it features a lot of favourite things of mine at the moment.
I have used Kaisercraft Mr Fox pp and collectibles, Kaisercraft texture stamps, Viva Decor Ferro Texture paste, Blue Studio chipboard, corrugated cardboard and Kaisercraft wooden cogs and The Crafters Studio stencil.

Here's some close ups.
I coated the wooden cogs with Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Ponderosa Pines Olive spray and inked the edges with black ink.
The chipboard is coated with Dylusions black spray and then partially embossed with black embossing powder.

And here is the sketch that it is based on.

Scrap Africa Challenge No. 29 His and Her Cards

The latest challenge at Scrap Africa was to produce a set of his and her cards. I recently bought some of the latest Doodlebug Hip Hooray and Sugar Shoppe and decided to create a couple of cards using these 2 lines as one is male orientated and one female.

Here's my two cards:

As you might realise now, I like to do a little bit extra on my cards so these actually have stand up items in the middle.

So here's some close ups of the boy card

And the inside.

I stuck some of the Doodlebug stickers to strips of acetate so that they stand up when the card is opened.

And now for the girl card:

D-lish Scraps May Inspiration Board

Hi,

Just reminding you about the May Inspiration Board over at D-lish Scraps and sharing my sample. This month the board Peach Cooler, a board mixed with soft pastel colours.

Here is my interpretation:

And here are some close ups:

Would you believe these glasses that made up the double 'O' in my title started off bright pink! I coloured them with a peach gelato to match the board colours.
