Blue Fern Studio July Sketch challenge

Hi, I have a layout to share with you that I created for the Blue Fern Studios July sketch challenge.
I am a keen gardener and have lots of photos of flowers from my garden so decided to create a layout about one of them. To create my background I have used a piece of Blue Fern Studio Ombre Dreams pattern paper which has a delicate pattern printed on it. I was impressed with how thick the paper is. To this I added some texture paste using a Crafters Workshop stencil and also stamped with a text stamp. I added a photo matted on another piece of Ombre Dreams paper and placed some Blue Fern Studio chipboard onto it. This piece of chipboard and all other pieces were first painted with gesso and then I used a mix of gelatoes and watercolour paint to create a soft colour.

Then it was time to create my clusters. Here are some close ups. The chipboard leaves are also Blue Fern Studios.

I have used a FWAB Chloe Pearl Flourish in Pearl which I cut up. Using one part on the bottom cluster and one part on the top cluster. I also used a piece of Blue Fern Studios for the title.IMG_5120
Both clusters include a mix of flowers but each one has a FWAB flower. For the top cluster I used a FWAB Elise flower in burnt orange.IMG_5119
And in the bottom cluster I have used a FWAB Maddison flower in pink.

I also used some FWAB individual adhesive pearls in pearl. You can see one used as a centre of the small pink flower in the photo above. I also scattered a few around the page.
Here is the sketch on which my layout is based.

The Scrapbook Store May Sketch challenge

Today I'm sharing with you my entry for the Scrapbook Store May challenge.
This is a layout including a photo of my daughter and I taken on Mother’s Day last weekend by my son. I created the background using watercolour paint and then stenciled the brick design on using some Viva Decor Ferro Texture Paste. I then added a few splatters of mists and added some sequins and some individual FWAB adhesive pearls in teal. I used two pieces of patterned paper from the Kaisercraft Snapshots range and one piece of base paper from Kaisercraft.
IMG_1513For my cluster I used a FWAB Grace Pearl flourish in teal.

I used a couple of flowers and I also sprayed a FWAB Elise white flower with Lindy’s Stamp Gang Starburst spray in Cattail Copper Brown.

The chipboard circle frame is from Blue Fern Studio and purchased at the Scrapbook Store. It was also covered with the Cattail copper brown spray.

Here is the sketch it is based upon designed by Marelize Frisby.

Blue Fern Studio Sketch and Off the Rails chipboard challenge

Hi,

I have recently fallen in love with Blue Fern Studio chipboard. I bought a load recently from the Scrapbook Store and this is the third layout I have done using some of it. I decided to enter the May sketch challenge over at Blue Fern Studio and also enter it in the current Off the Rails challenge which is to use chipboard. In fact it features a lot of favourite things of mine at the moment.
I have used Kaisercraft Mr Fox pp and collectibles, Kaisercraft texture stamps, Viva Decor Ferro Texture paste, Blue Studio chipboard, corrugated cardboard and Kaisercraft wooden cogs and The Crafters Studio stencil.

Here's some close ups.
I coated the wooden cogs with Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Ponderosa Pines Olive spray and inked the edges with black ink.
The chipboard is coated with Dylusions black spray and then partially embossed with black embossing powder.

And here is the sketch that it is based on.
