Off the Rails April challenge

Just squeezing this one in - my one and only effort for this month. The challenge over at Off the Rails was to use either of two mood boards to inspire a project.
I chose this board:

And here is my layout

I was inspired by not only the colours but also the circles. I created the multiply sign (the name of Ed Sheeran's current album) out of sequins.

Rather a labour of love, but I loved the effect. Decided to keep it fairly simple after that.

Off the Rails Scrapbooking Sept challenge

Hi, back for a second time today to share my take on the Off the Rails Scrapbooking challenge this month.
As soon as I saw the mood board for this months challenge I knew I had the perfect photo to go with it. Last time we were in the UK, Eleanor tried on this blue and gold mask and I snapped a picture of her doing so. I've been meaning to scrap it for ages and had already got some chipboard to go with it.
Anyway here is my take - used up a bit more of my old Basic Grey stash here.

I covered my chipboard mask with Viva Decor Inka Gold in cobalt blue and then got out the old kindyglitz in gold and outlined the edges and the swirls.

I had some homemade felt flowers that matched perfectly and added a {ScrAp this!} gold doily cut in half.

I stamped and embossed a feather as a background to each cluster before adding real feathers.

Thanks for looking.

Blue Fern Studio Sketch and Off the Rails chipboard challenge

Hi,

I have recently fallen in love with Blue Fern Studio chipboard. I bought a load recently from the Scrapbook Store and this is the third layout I have done using some of it. I decided to enter the May sketch challenge over at Blue Fern Studio and also enter it in the current Off the Rails challenge which is to use chipboard. In fact it features a lot of favourite things of mine at the moment.
I have used Kaisercraft Mr Fox pp and collectibles, Kaisercraft texture stamps, Viva Decor Ferro Texture paste, Blue Studio chipboard, corrugated cardboard and Kaisercraft wooden cogs and The Crafters Studio stencil.

Here's some close ups.
I coated the wooden cogs with Lindys Stamp Gang Starburst Ponderosa Pines Olive spray and inked the edges with black ink.
The chipboard is coated with Dylusions black spray and then partially embossed with black embossing powder.

And here is the sketch that it is based on.

CSI #110 and Off the Rails Scrapbooking Feb 7 challenge

A couple of weeks ago we lost our beautiful Netherland Dwarf rabbit -  Midget. I know most people will probably think a rabbit is a rabbit, but he had such a big personality for such a little rabbit. In winter, he would flop down in front of the heater to keep warm and in the summer lie in the sunlight and sunbake. He was forever jumping on the couches and he was a bit partial to toast. He would wait at the boards every morning waiting for me to bring my daughter her toast. I would give him a little corner and sometimes he would do a vertical jump up to grab it out of my fingers. Sometimes when the mood took him he would try and steal my daughters toast. He would jump up on her and try and get to her plate to pull a piece of toast off. Just the day before he died he had actully managed to jump up onto her plate even though she was holding it up away from him.

Anyway this is my entry for the Off the Rails Scrapbooking challenge which is to scrap a page with a photo or memorabilia of a loved one.
It is also my sample for my special investigator over at CSI

And here is a close up of my cluster.

And here is the case file

As my evidence I used: pet accent, flowers, pearls, solid background and jewels. For my testimony I added jewels to my journalling spot.
My journalling reads: Rest in peace dear Midget. It is impossible to measure the happiness you brought. For such a small rabbit you had such a huge personality. We miss you.

Have a great weekend.

Off the Rails 1st challenge - Acetate

Off the Rails is a new challenge blog and their first challenge was to use acetate on your layout/card/project.

Now that all my Christmas cards have been posted, I felt inclined to make a Christmas card! I decided to make a shaker card so have an acetate panel in it. I used Jillibean Soup Christmas Eve Chowder and Southern Chicken Dumpling Soup pp. I cut a panel of penguins from one of the papers. Added some foam tape and glitter then sealed in with acetate. I even used an acetate snowflake as a simple embellishment.

Anyway here is my card:

Anyway, I had a bit of spare card left so made a quick simple second card, this time using a Bite size bit from the Christmas Eve Chowder paper and adding some pink glitter and a few snowflakes to the acetate window.
