Scrap Africa Sketch Challenge No. 26

Hi, today I have a layout I created for the sketch challenge over at Scrap Africa. February is the month of love so I thought I’d scrap a wedding photo as I think I have only scrapped one previously.

Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday challenge - winter blues

Good morning and welcome to February and a new batch of challenges. I decided to have a go at the Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday challenge - winter blues which was based on a mood board full of blues and whites. I wasn't feeling very wintery as it is in the high 30C's here so used the colours and created a birthday page. I love this photo of my DS. Where has this little boy gone!
I loved playing with straws last month on another challenge so decided to use some more on this layout as it went well with the theme.

Products used:
Jillibean Soup Owl Soup patterned paper, stickers, journalling sprouts and diecuts
Jillibean Soup alphas
Jillibean Soup place mat
Jillibean Soup twine
Kaisercraft background stamp
Flourish With A Bling pearls
Straws
Ric Rac

And here are some close ups

And here is the mood board:

I used blues and white with a touch of green and yellow. I also included a bird (owl).

Thanks for looking.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and hopes it's not too hot (or cold) where you are.

Off the Rails 1st challenge - Acetate

Off the Rails is a new challenge blog and their first challenge was to use acetate on your layout/card/project.

Now that all my Christmas cards have been posted, I felt inclined to make a Christmas card! I decided to make a shaker card so have an acetate panel in it. I used Jillibean Soup Christmas Eve Chowder and Southern Chicken Dumpling Soup pp. I cut a panel of penguins from one of the papers. Added some foam tape and glitter then sealed in with acetate. I even used an acetate snowflake as a simple embellishment.

Anyway here is my card:

Anyway, I had a bit of spare card left so made a quick simple second card, this time using a Bite size bit from the Christmas Eve Chowder paper and adding some pink glitter and a few snowflakes to the acetate window.

Thanks for looking
