Bella Boulevard weekly challenges

I had aimed to get all 5 challenges done but so far I've only managed this one, which was for Challenge 1 to used Cute cuts on a layout or card. I have used the Too Cute to Spook range.

Scrap the Boys Feb challenge

Here is my entry for the Feb Scrap the Boys challenge. This month was a sketch challenge. I have used Echo Park A boy's life pp and embellishments. I purchased the digital version of the embellishments so I was able to change the colours and means I can use them as often as I want. First time I've done this.

What a strange week! and Stuck Feb 15th challenge

Well yesterday didn't quite pan out how I had planned. I set off for work and on the train started getting discomfort under my ribs. By the time I was off the train and walking to work I had a really bad pain in my chest and shortness of breath and was beginning to feel light headed. I got to work and went to see my boss. She decided to call an ambulance. Of course when it arrived the pain had started to subside. However, because I had had chest pains they had to take me to emergency to make sure I hadn't had a heart attack. I ended up spending all day there as they had to do a couple of blood tests 6 hours apart and a chest xray. Thankfully everything came back normal and I caught the train home. I must say that despite all you hear in the press about the state of the health and ambulance service I received excellent service. The ambulance arrived within 5 minutes and  I was seen at the hospital within 5 minutes.
Anyway on a happier note I have had 2 layouts accepted this week from Scrapbooking Memories and been offered a guest designer position.

Onto some scrapping. I decided to have a go at the Feb 15th Stuck sketch as seen below.

And here is my take. Again I have used some old Kaisercraft. In fact I think this is my all time favourite Kaisercraft range Shaken not Stirred. It is great for boy/mechanical themed layouts. I also used my new Crafters Workshop Cogs mask.

Anna's Craft Cupboard Feb Sketch

Whilst this layout maynot look particularly inspiring it ticks a number of boxes for me. I have masses of Basic Grey pp which I rarely use these days. I bought heaps of the old stuff back when I first started scrapbooking and then went through a phase of buying whole collections. I am determined to use up more of my stash so have set myself a target of doing at least 1 layout a month using Basic Grey. So here is this months. It uses some Marjolaine and a piece of Pyrus pp.
I also have heaps of photos from our holidays that are of places we have visited and don't necessarily contain people in the photos. So I have used some of those.
I have also used some chipboard (of which I have a shoebox full) and a paper flower (again I have several jars of these but rarely use them nowadays).

Scrapz.biz Weekly Challenges

I thought it's about time I updated my blog as it has been more than a week. I have been playing along with the weekly challenges over at Scrapz.biz. The last 2 weeks have been technique based. Two weeks ago it was mist. My first layout was for the Fetch a Sketch challenge which included using a mask. I made my own using chipboard and some Tim Holtz masks.

Second  up was for Chloe's Scrap it Blind which again involved using a mask. Gave me a chance to play with a new Crafters Workshop mask I had bought.

Last week was all about using twine. My first layout is for the Scrap it Blind challenge. I had had this photo printed for years and tried to scrap it a few times so I was pleased to finally get it done. I have used some My Minds Eye pp and included some twirly twine.

This last layout was for Aga's Fetch a Sketch which had the added criteria of creating a banner and using twine. This used a mix of Echo Park and Imaginance pps.

Purple pumpkin Feb challenge

Here is my entry for Feb's Purple Pumpkin sketch challenge. I used Echo Park Little Boy and lots of PP goodies such as the vinyl cogs, vinyl star lollipop and of course some buttons.
