Uproar Cybercrop

Managed to get 5 challenges done over at Uproar in the Go Green with Us cybercrop

Here is Lisa's Challenge 1 entry - We had a picture to take inspiration from. I used the colours and the environmental message. The photo is one of Robert from when we went to Broome.

Amanda's Challenge 2 was to use junk mail on our layout. I cut the lettering out of junk mail and went the whole hog and used recycled bits for the rest of my layout except the base.

Kylies Challenge 3 was to create 3 shaped cards using scrapping scraps and metal on each card.

Leanne's Challenge 4 was to create an all green layout. Again I choose to do an environmental message too.

Challenge 5 was to create an ATC using something recycled, some green and the recycled theme.
I used old stamps for the background and a phrase from a past World Environment Day.

Amazing Race Week 4/5

Well, the amazing thing is I am through to week 5 of the Amazing Race over at Mystical. We are down to 12 contestants now.
Here is my layout for Week 4 - Using a large photo, numbers (the calendar stamp) and bling.

For week 5 we have to use paper from 3 different manufacturers, journalling and 3 photos.

Some more layouts that I have done this year

These are more Wipeout layouts:

These were for the TSE Feb Cybercrop. My card won.

A couple of new layouts

I had a terrible time trying to decide what to do for the Amazing Race this week. I think I must have changed my mind a dozen times. Not entirely happy with the end result but will see. There are a lot of talented ladies left so it will be hard to get through to the next round.

Anyway I did manage to get 3 layouts done.

The first is for Scrap the Girls. We had to use a sketch.

I 'found' these photos of Eleanor amongst some Christmas photos and altered them slightly in Photoshop Elements. I used some Kaisercraft Sorbet patterned paper and my Cuttlebug.

The next layout was for the TSE March sketch

This is another layout using Kaisercraft Funfair pp.

My final layout for the week is for one of the weekly challenges over at Uproar2Scrapmore

You had to use red, triangle and no flourishes. This is an old photo of Robert at his 7th birthday party.
There is a cybercrop on at Uproar this weekend with a 'green' theme. Hope to get the challenges done.

Click n' Scrap

The new owner Dee has decided to make her family the new Design Team so will no longer be designing for Click. It was good to have the experience of being on a design team. I wish her well.

Amazing Race Week 3/4

Well, here as promised is my entry for Week 3 of Amazing Race over at Mystical Scrapbooks

I again used the WRMK White Out Frenzy pp, which I love. Anyway, it was good enough to get me through to Week 4 and the last 18. This week we are visiting China and have to use a large photo, numbers and bling.

More layouts to share

I've quite fancied having a play with the new Kaisercraft releases for March and finally relented and bought a few papers from my Local Scrapbook Shop of Funfair.

Here is a layout I've created for the March Scraplift Challenge over at Uproar2Scrapmore
(Incidently, one of my pages I created for Round 4 of Wipeout is on the home page - Wedding bells.)

These are very old photos of Robert jnr taken at Palm Cove back in 1999.

I also used the Kaisercraft Funfair papers to create this layout for a competition over at Scrapapple entitle '10 things'

I also heard last night that i've won a package of goodies from Crafting in Style for my OTP mini album on Robert's last year at primary school which I entered in a comp on Aussie Scrapbooking News back in Jan. Here are a few pages from the album.

Amazing Race

I have entered the Amazing Race over at Mystical Scrapbooks Luckily I've made it through to Week 3.

The first week we visited New York and you had to have pink and bling and a picture of you and your girlfriends having fun. Well, I had to delve into the archives for this one and came up with some photos from 1985! A group of us from Industry Library used to go out once a month for a girls night out. We'd pick a new restaurant to try in London every month. Anyway I just shot off a very simple layout not really expecting to get into the next round.

Luckily, about 6 people didn't even produce anything for Week 1 so everyone that did went through. Phew!

For Week 2 we visited Greenland and had to use just brown and white and bling. This screamed heritage to me, although I would have prefered to use cream and brown. Here is my entry.

I've used of my all time favourite old family photos of my Grannie and her cousins on her mother's side. Her mother was one of 12 and they all had children! This photo was taken circa 1900 and my Grannie is in the 2nd row from the back and 4th from the left. I have managed to work out who most of the children are.
Anyway this layout was good enough to make it through into Week 3.
This week we are visiting Egypt and have to include red and a warm weather photo. Will upload when it has been uploaded onto Mystical Scrapbooks gallery on Saturday night.

More layouts

Now I've sort of got the hang of adding images I thought I'd add some more layouts I've done recently. These are using We Are Memory Keepers WhiteOut Frenzy pp, which I've had for a while and have been wanting to use. I'm really pleased with how these have turned out.
The first is one of my entries for Game 5 of Wipe Out.

This is my entry for the March Monthly Challenge at Uproar2Scrapmore

This is a card I made with the scraps following a workshop on Nancy Van den Bergs blog

Haven't updated for ages so much for my New Years resolution. I've been taking part in WipeOut on Uproar2Scrapmore which is pretty intensive. You get 24 hours to do a layout following certain criteria and then there is 24 hours to vote and then the next round begins. I got through to the last 3 in Game 4. The good news was, that I submitted one of my layouts to Scrapbooking Memories and it was accepted. My first acceptance Yay!

Here are my entries for Game 4

And here is what would have been my entry for the final round had I got through
