Hi everyone,
I've been a bit quiet lately as I have been back working full time again. I'm having a short break before going back to work until Christmas.
I just wanted to share the November Challenge over at A2Z Scraplets
This month we want you to scrap your paper souvenirs from your last holiday. You don't even have to include A2Z Scraplets chipboard on your entry. The winner will win a goodie bag full of A2Z Scraplets products.
Here is my DT sample. I used some tickets from Madame Tussauds in Sydney :
I used a A2Z scraplets Hello
an A2Z Scraplets arrow
And an A2Z Scraplets distressed diamond stencil.

D-Lish Scraps October Inspiration Board
Hi, Loved the colours of the D-Lish Scraps October Inspiration Board as soon as I saw them last weekend but unfortunately missed out on a Just Add Paper kit as had to go out that evening.
Even so I decided to get into the challenge last weekend and have only now found time to post my page.

At one point I thought this might be the last photo I have of Smudge as he disappeared for about 10 days but he turned up again a couple of days ago. He stayed around for 2 days and has disappeared this afternoon. Most odd.
I was inspired by arrows, the pluses, the chevrons and the triangles as well as the colours of course!
Here is the inspiration board.

World Card Making Day
Hi, decided to spend the week end catching up with all the birthday cards I need for the rest of the year. I haven't finished but nearly done.
I started with a card for my husband's Auntie who is turning 80 later this month and decided to make a couple more from the same supplies for a couple of girl friends.

I also made one for my girl friends daughter and for this one I used a World Card making challenge over at Jillibean
I used one of the sketches and produced this.
Here is the sketch
I have also made a shaker card for my 5 year old great nephew.
I used a Queen & Co Shaker card kit and tiny pops.
I also made an impromptu 18th birthday card as my daughter decided last minute to go to a party but I didn't have time to take a photo!
Just 2 more cards to make and then I need to start on all my Christmas cards!!

A2Z Scraplets first post and September monthly challenge
Hi,
I'm just sharing my first creation for A2Z Scraplets which I also did as a sample for the September monthly challenge. Poor Smudge is having a bit of a rough time at the moment. He has been going away for days on end and coming back with scratches. Everytime he doesn't appear in the morning I think he isn't coming back. He is nearly 5 years old which is pretty good for a feral cat.
You can find more details about my page on the A2Z Scraplets blog here
If you feel like entering you can add your layout to the album on Facebook here .

It's been a while I know
since I last blogged but things are about to change. I am just starting on a new Design Team for A2Z Scraplets and so will be regularly blogging for them and I hope to get some none DT scrapping done too.
I've had a busy few months since I last blogged. I had a full time job for 6 weeks, my first since before my son was born in 1996. It was a bit of a shock and very tiring to begin with and it took me a couple of weeks to settle into a pattern. Then we went on holiday for a week to Sydney and then I made a Rapunzel outfit for my daughter for her muck up day in October and then had her 18th birthday party to organise. Now things are settling down again.
I'm just scraping this layout in for the August Inspiration Board at D'Lish Scraps. I've actually had it done for a week but only got around to photographing it. I loved the Just Add Paper Geometric Crush kit so used it for this.
And here are a couple of close ups

Whilst I'm here I might as well share a layout I did for last months cybercrop at The Scrap Suite. This was created for a recipe challenge which was to include 5 types of embellishments, 4 different patterned papers, a three word title, 2 photos and 1 journalling tag.

D-Lish Scraps April Inspiration Board
Hi all,
Here is my take on the April Inspiration Board over at D-Lish Scraps. I loved the colours and found this old photo of Eleanor in a dressing gown I made here, which I altered so that only part of it was in colour and the rest in black and white.
And a few close ups

A2Z Scraplets Easter Challenges
This weekend I participated in an old style cybercrop run by A2Z Scraplets with a number of challenges being presented over the weekend and due by 9pm last night. It was the first one I'd participated in in ages. They used to be the norm when I first started scrapping and luckily due to the poor weather we stayed home Easter Sunday and Monday so I was able to get 6 of the 10 challenges done. It was great fun and got the creative juices flowing. So sorry for the long post but here are the 6 layouts I produced:
Challenge 1 was a sketch challenge:
I heat embossed the top of my chipboard letters. Originally, there were painted blue with white embossing but then realised the photos were more black/grey so swiped black ink over them which gave them a more grungy feel and fitted in better with the page.
I must admit by this stage I was feeling a bit scrapped out and don't really like the stamping on the finished layout as it was a bit rushed.
Anyway here's some close ups of the clusters including Peterloo flowers and some chipboard scrolls which I sprayed with black Dylusions. However, I sprayed them in a box lid that had some old Lindy's Stamp Gang green spray on it and the Dylusions loosened it so when I swiped up some of the surplus ink with my chipboard the green got onto it. It actually ended up with quite a nice effect.
**All challenges included the use of at least one piece of chipboard**
And here is the sketch it was based on:

I included an A2Z Scraplet monster on my page, which I painted white and added detail with black pen.
Challenge 2 was to include a hexagon on your page
I stencilled some hexagons using paint. I included a chipboard fence on my page.
Here is a close up of my cluster including a Charms Creations super star.
Challenge 3 was a tic tac toe challenge

I chose the left column and included chevrons, embossing and mixed media on my page.
And here are some close ups:
I added beads and Viva Decor texture paste to my layout.
I heat embossed the top of my chipboard letters. Originally, there were painted blue with white embossing but then realised the photos were more black/grey so swiped black ink over them which gave them a more grungy feel and fitted in better with the page.
Challenge 4 was a colour challenge

And here is my page:
And a couple of close ups:
My cluster including a chipboard bear and a Rainbow Splendour felt bow.
I used an A2Z Scraplet chipboard title which I painted yellow.
Challenge 5 was white with 1 other colour. I chose gold.
I had some gold and white project life cards on my desk so used a couple of them and found some other gold bits and pieces.
Some close ups:
A Charms Creations X and O
Some beads, gold thread, a tag and some die cut gold foil card.
A project life card, with some beads and gold thread.
Finally, Challenge 6 which was to do a layout about yourself.
I must admit by this stage I was feeling a bit scrapped out and don't really like the stamping on the finished layout as it was a bit rushed.
Anyway here's some close ups of the clusters including Peterloo flowers and some chipboard scrolls which I sprayed with black Dylusions. If you've made it to the end. Thank You
Judith xx
