Kraft+ April Challenge

It's been a long time between posts but I have finally managed to do a blog challange post - probably my first for six months. I have been doing DT work for A2Z Scraplets but don't seem to have had the time to do other scrapbooking.

This months challenge at Kraft+  was to use paint chips/swatches. I knew I wanted to use blues so raided the local hardware store for some chips. I was lucky as they had 3 types - round circles, strips of colours and just single chips.

Here's my entry. I used the circle chips, which I die cut into doilies in various places. I used the strips of colours down the side of my photo and at the side of the layout (though it is mostly covered up) and I used the big single chips at the top and bottom of my photo.

You can see one of my circle chips which I die cut into a doily peaking out here.

Kraft + March challenge

Hi, back today with the first of my March challenge layouts. This month Kraft+ have an awesome challenge to use black and white with kraft and a moodboard to go with it.

Here is my layout:

I was inspired by the dots and the mix of designs in the plates.

Kraft Plus August Challenge

The challenge this month at Kraft+ was to use kraft and zentangle or doodle. I have been taken in by the adult colouring craze and have a couple of books on the go so was keen to give this a go. I used a template that I found on the Ornation Creation Facebook page and filled it in with zentangle designs and coloured it in with coloured pencils. I also created a border for my page. Besides animals, fungi is one of my favourite things to photograph. I'm happy with the zentangle but not sure about the page overall. It wasn't what I had envisaged at the beginning of my page design.
Anyway, here it is:

And a close up of my zentangling and colouring.

Kraft+ May Challenge

Hi, I knew exactly what I was going to scrap when I saw the "KraftBoard" for the May challenge over at Kraft+. I had some photos on my desk of me feeding some deer at Halls Gap Zoo last year wearing a bright orange duffle coat.

Here is my layout:

And some close ups:

I used a mix of flowers - D-Lish Scraps, Peterloo, a home made string flower, some metallic flowers from my days at The Trinket Track, and some Kaisercraft small roses. I added some pieces of hessian and some hessian leaves.

I also had these cute wood veneer deer from D-Lish Scraps and added them around the page along with some chipboard and more flowers.

Another deer. For my background I stencilled some Imagine Crafts Creative Medium Copper Metallic paste which I got at Scrapbook Boutique. I stamped some wooden palings with a Kaisercraft stamp.

Here is the "Kraftboard"

I was inspired by the orange and green, the bottle with its hessian flower and the string tying up the books.

Thanks for looking.

Kraft Plus Feb Challenge

There's a new challenge blog started this month - Kraft Plus and they had a beautiful colour combo called mango breeze for the first challenge. I just had to play along.

Somehow this layout just had a mind of its out and ended up nothing like I had first intended. I used up some old stash some WRMK Whiteout, which I loved when it first came out and immediately thought of when I saw this colour combo. It also had green in it so that's who the wings/large chevrons developed to cover up the green in the spotty paper. I then thought it looked rather like a rocket and as the rollercoaster was a rocket thought I'd run with that theme.
Anyway here is my final take:

I ended up using all the colours in the end as I only had the right letters for title in pink!

Anyway, thanks for looking.
