Scrapz University final subject

So I made it into the Scrapz University final thanks to completing all 16 electives. There were 11 of us who did so. Heike sent each of us an envelope containing similar items and we had to use some of each to them plus we were allowed to add 2 pieces of cardstock and 1 piece of pp and create a mini layout with a maximum size of 6 x 6 inches and 3 mini cards. Here are my efforts. As you can see most of the kit consisted of Cosmo Cricket Togetherness plus a piece of Donna Salazar pp, 2 pieces of ribbon, twine, chipboard triangles, pearls, Jenni Bowlin alphas, and 2 pins, a brown envelope and tag.

White with 1

Finally, managed to have a go at this challenge. The criteria were to use white and bright pink plus artisan shapes.

Feb sketch entries

I've been a bit slack in uploading these. These are a few layouts I did for sketch challenges last month.

This one was for Anna's Craft Cupboard, using Studio Calico Elementary.

The second layout was for the Scrapbook Savvy sketch challenge using My Minds Eye Fine and Dandy.

The final layout was for the sketch over at Handmade by Suzanne. I used some Sassafras Lass Nerdy Bird pp.

Scrapzbiz University Week 5

Final week of subjects for Scrapzbiz University.

First up this week was creative arts. For this we had to scrap a layout about what inspired us in our scrapping. Extra criteria were to base the layout on one in the Scrapzbiz gallery and also use something from a layout done by Georgia as the example for this subject. I used a layout by Kerryn Fry and used Georgia's idea of turning the letters around in her title.

Second up was Medicine. For this we had to scrap a medical page and extra criteria were to include an envelope and use a stamp on the page. I have wanted to scrap this photo of DS for ages but just couldn't find the right paper. It took me a couple of days of fiddling around until I found this pp from Scenic Route (Liberty), which seemed to fit the bill.

Final subject was journalism in which we had to do a layout about ourselves. Extra criteria were to include at least 2 buttons and 2 bits of bling. I love this pp from Fancy Pants. My layout got chosen as star layout of the week.

I have now got all the subjects done and on time, as have a few others. Now I have to wait for the final exam which should be revealed about 16th March.

Scrapzbiz University Week 4

A bit behind in posting these up. I have already finished Week 5 layouts but don't want to overload.
For Week 4 our first subject was law. For this we had to do a layout about a rule in our household. Extra criteria were to use more than 1 font in the title and use at least 5 different patterned papers. I scrapped about not messing about in the kitchen.

The second subject was sport sciences. We had to scrap a layout about someone getting some exercise. Extra criteria were to include numbers in the title and an animal.

Final subject for Week 4 was music. We had to scrap about a song that meant something to us. Extra criteria were to include 1 flower and to use pp as the background instead of cardstock. I scrapped about the first record I ever received.

She's Savvy Feb kit

I was lucky enough to snap up the last She's Savvy kit this month. Scrapbook Savvy has 3 monthly kits - He's Savvy, She's Savvy and We're Savvy crammed full of goodies. This was my first time buying a She's Savvy kit. I loved the colours of this one.

I have to admit though that I'm guilty of buying kits, doing one layout and then leaving the rest of the kit unused. In the spirit of using up more of my stuff, I sat down and did 4 layouts using this kit last week and I still have enough left to get at least 1 maybe layouts out of it.

This is my first layout, which I did for the kit challenge, which was to use large rounded corners, at least 1 circle and use the journalling stamp in the kit. It was Valentine's day so I took some photos of DD with the love of her life - her rabbit Midget.

I decided to use the same criteria for all 4 of my layouts. I love how by changing the background colour you can create a whole different layout using the same kit.
