Some cards

I've completed a bevvy of cards for Scrap pile. Week 2 of the Lazy Days of Summer competition saw us having to create a circular card with a sun themed embellishment. Here is mine using Sass Lass Me Likey pp.



To gain bonus points this week we had to complete 2 card challenges - the Valentines card



And the monthly card challenge - criteria: use the colour combo - purple, green and blue, include at least 1 butterfly and use something sparkly eg glitter.

Scrapbook Boutique CC sketch

I loved the sketch Em created at Scrapbook Boutique for the recent CC so had a go at it. I used Crate Paper Bliss pp and embellishments, which I got for Christmas and was waiting for the right opportunity to use.

We've spent the last 2 weekends at the beach. Consequently, I've lots of beach shots. So I decided to take part in the Lazy Days of Summer contest over at Scrap pile. Week 1 was to create a layout using the theme Water fun and using paints/mists etc. I loved the colours of Eleanor's board shorts and wanted to base my layout on their colours. For the base I started with a sheet of white cardstock and sprayed it with 4 different colours of Glimmermist (Patina, Plum, Twilight and Black Cherry). For the alphas I used 3 colours of Twinkling H2O's. Quite pleased with the effect.

Top 50 Jan cybercrop entries

Well, I managed to get 3 of the challenges done over at the cybercrop at Scrapbooking Top 50.

This first one was challenge 4. Criteria was to use a piece of pp for background (I used WRMK Teen Angst), something transparent (Teen and arrow), staples and scrap about a milestone (my DS becoming a teenager)



Challenge 2 was to scrap about 2009 with a family viewpoint, using more than 4 photos and having 2009 and review in the title.

Challenge 6 was to use certain criteria based on pictures we'd chosen. My criteria were: to use bright colours, a large title, birthday theme and bling. I used some pp and stickers from Bella Boulevard.

Froggy

Eleanor was a frog monitor last year at school. We agreed to look after Froggy over the summer holidays. It has been fascinating watching him, although he does spend a lot of time sleeping. I have been snapping away taking shots of him in various positions and pics of the kids holding him, whilst he gets cleaned out.
This layout was for ScrapBoutiques Stash stomper which was based on a sketch by Manon and had to include photo corners. The title was inspired by the new movie out. The base paper is one by Heather Bailey and the other pp is by Jillibean, as are the frogs. The alphas are WRMK. I painted my chipboard photo corners and added some glitter to match the alphas (Not that you can tell in this photo).

The Scrapbook Establishment sketch challenge

This is my take on the sketch Beth came up with this month at TSE. I used some Kaiser Lilac Avenue pp for backgorund and a piece of pp that came free with Scrapbooking Memories, along with some Prima flowers, and Kaiser drops. Yay, I've got 2 pages done of Xmas 2009 done already.

Out of the Hat January entry

Well, I didn't manage a layout yesterday but did one this afternoon for the January Out of the Hat challenge. The criteria were: to use circles, stripey paper and a 1 word title. I used some very old Junkitz pp and transparent ribbon for this but the colours matched Eleanor's shirt so well.
