Scrapbooking Top 50 Sept challenges

I've managed to get 2 of the challenges over at Scrapbooking Top50 done already this month.

The first is for Sue's challenge which was to scrap about an important adult male in your life and the added criteria was to include at least one button and something that was non scrappy. I scrapped about DH and his love for photography. My non scrappy items were a clothes tag and a wooden frame which was a waste part of a wooden model kit DD was constructing.

My second layout is for Anthea's challenge which was to use blue and red as dominant colours on your layout. Lots of Purple Pumpkin and Chip Chop Shop goodies on this layout.

A couple of layouts

for challenges over at Challenge Heaven
This first one is for the Title challenge. You had to include the word dad or father in the title and include the extra criteria of 2 types of alpha.

The second layout is for the Theme challenge #1 which was to scrap about a ride and include the extra criteria of buttons. This is DS's first ride on a roller coaster on our first holiday with him to the UK. He looked very apprehensive. He was only 15months old. Ten years later he went on the Pepsi Max roller coaster at Blackpool which was certainly a lot faster and had a massive drop on it.

Once upon a...Sketch Sept 1 sketch

Decided to have a go at the Sept 1st sketch over at Once upon a... sketch. The added criteria was to use a year as the title.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my take. This is my first attempt at scrapbooking any of my wedding photos. I've used a mish mash of pp from Websters, Pink Paislee and Echo Park and also included some gates and flourishes from Kaisercraft and some bloomer ribbon from American Craft.

Last lot of layouts from last month

I think these are the last of the layouts I did last month!
First one up was for Out of the Hat challenge. Criteria was to include paint, a square photo and strip journalling. Used some old photos of DD on our last trip to the UK. Used MME pp and made my own lollipop flowers.

The next 3 were all for Scrapbooking Top 50. The first 2 were for CC entries.

This was Marelize's sketch challenge which also had to incude the word Play in the title.

This was for Ant's monthly challenge. Criteria was to include spots, a pin and stitching.

Scrapbook Savvy entries

Here are some layouts I did for the challenges and CC over at Scrapbook Savvy last month.

The first is the only CC challenge I managed to get done. Kerryn's puzzle challenge was to include the following pieces on a layout: splats, clouds, stars, bird and a bow. I used some Echo Park Little Boy with some old Imaginance pp. The photos were taken at the Avalon Air Show in March.

This layout was for Kerryn's Manufacturer Monthly challenge which was to use Fancy Pants and a cluster. This is a rare photo of DH and I, taken by DD on a train trip earlier this year. I used Fancy Pants Lover Birds pp.

This layout was for Anthea's sketch challenge. Again used some old Imaginance pp and some Purple Pumpkin lollipops, and ribbon and one of my own Krafty Koncoctions racing car bottle tops. The layout is about the RACV Energy Breakthrough competition in 2009 that DS was involved in.

Finally, this layout was for Sara's wordy challenge - to use the word SWEET. Another lot of old SEI pp for this one. Also used a Lime Tree Creations doily and another KK bottletop.

Challenge Heaven layouts

Despite the lack of layouts on my blog I have been busy scrapping, just not had time to upload them. I only managed a measily 2 in the first half of the month but ended up doing 12 in the second half.

Here's 2 I did for Challenge Heaven.

The first was for their recent 'animal' cybercrop. I have so many animal photos it's not funny so it was good to scrap this one, I took at Melbourne Zoo last year.

This layout was for Becci's number challenge in which we had to include 1 photo, 2 animal embellishment, 3 pieces of trim and 4 patterned papers. I used some Basic Grey Max and Whiskers.

The second layout was for the Ebony and Ivory monthly challenge. For this you had to use either black or white AND pink and red and include something glossy. My big red alphas were glossy and I also included glossy buttons.
