Kraft+ May Challenge

Hi, I knew exactly what I was going to scrap when I saw the "KraftBoard" for the May challenge over at Kraft+. I had some photos on my desk of me feeding some deer at Halls Gap Zoo last year wearing a bright orange duffle coat.

Here is my layout:

And some close ups:

I used a mix of flowers - D-Lish Scraps, Peterloo, a home made string flower, some metallic flowers from my days at The Trinket Track, and some Kaisercraft small roses. I added some pieces of hessian and some hessian leaves.

I also had these cute wood veneer deer from D-Lish Scraps and added them around the page along with some chipboard and more flowers.

Another deer. For my background I stencilled some Imagine Crafts Creative Medium Copper Metallic paste which I got at Scrapbook Boutique. I stamped some wooden palings with a Kaisercraft stamp.

Here is the "Kraftboard"

I was inspired by the orange and green, the bottle with its hessian flower and the string tying up the books.

Thanks for looking.

Make a Wish for Scrapbook Boutique

This month at Scrapbook Boutique I have been playing with Echo Park Birthday Wishes boy range.  For my first layout I decided to use photos of my daughter to show how versatile this range is. It is not overly male orientated.

Close ups and more details of how I created this layout can be found on the Scrapbook Boutique Blog here

D-Lish Scraps Inspiration Board May 2015

Unfortunately, this is my last sample as a member of the Inspiration Team at D-Lish Scraps as Amanda has decided to disband it. I've had a good run being on for 3 seasons in 2 goes and I thank Amanda for that. The Inspiration Board challenge is still going to be held each month but there will just be samples form the normal design team from time to time.

Anyway to this months board Peach Kisses:

And here is my sample:
I created my background with some watercolour paint and stencilled some hearts using texture paste. I also used a few paper embellishments and sentiments from Kaisercraft. The rest is all D-Lish goodies.

And some close ups:

A mix of flowers, a sequin bow, a felt doily and some muslin.

A cat flair from D-Lish

Another cat flair, muslin, flower and mini heart sequins.

You can find full details of how to enter and the rules here.

Thanks for looking.

Scrap the Girls May challenge

Over at Scrap the Girls, they've got an awesome prize this month of a Fancy Pants Flutter Kit. I love this range so pulled out all stops to create this layout for it based on the sketch provided. I used another photo of Eleanor that I took with my new macro lens and used some pp from a Kaisercraft Rustic Heritage collection pack that I got free at the Crop for a Cause day on Saturday. I also added a couple of scraps from Kaisercraft Cherry Blossom and from Bo Bunny. I also used some of the Collectables from the Rustic Heritage range. I used a mix of Peterloo, Prima, Kaisercraft and D-Lish Scraps flowers and added some bling from Flourish with a Bling. For the background I stencilled some Imagine Crafts Creative Medium Metallic Texture Paste in Gold which I got from the Scrapbook Boutique here and some ordinary texture paste.

Here are a couple of close ups:

Stuck?! Sketches May 1st Sketch

Hi, back with another layout- one I completed last week but which I've only had time to photograph today.
This one is for the May 1st sketch over at Stuck?!. I kept pretty much to the sketch. I used the balloons in the top right hand corner for my colour inspiration. I have used some Amy Tan papers and a Super Star from Charms Creations. We made our usual pilgrimage to The Block Open for Inspection a couple of week ago. There was certainly less of a crowd this time. Eleanor had her photo taken with Jess and Ayden.

And here is the sketch it is based on:

Sassy Scrappers May Mood Board Challenge

Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day. It was a bit wet and miserable here but we went out and managed to get a few nice photos including our annual family photo at Daylesford.

On Saturday I had a good day scrapping at Crop for a Cause in Geelong. This layout is one of the one's I managed to get done there. Here is the Sassy Scrappers beautiful mood board.

I loved the colours and took this as my main inspiration. I also took the pink and orange circles on the cake for inspiration.

The circle piece is done on my Silhouette and one I downloaded and cut out a while ago. I then used it in a different colour so had this one in white in my stash. I painted it with watercolours.
Then I delved into my flower stash once again to include a collection of flowers. Those orange Prima flowers are one of my favourite and I've been hoarding them a bit. I've also had the Prima flowers I used as a base for years and felt they matched this colour scheme perfectly.

My title was a freebie at the crop and I painted it with Twinkling H2O.
