Scrap the Boys Sept challenge

Yay, I have managed to get Layout No. 14 for the month done! This one is for Scrap the Boys The September challenge is 'Domesticated'. This is a layout of DS. We sent him to Montessori Preschool when he was 3 as he really needed something to stimulate him more than the 2 hours a week 3-yr old kinder. There they believed in the children cutting up their own apples and washing up their plates after eating. I toyed with making this photo black and white as I didn't think I would be able to match it with the purpley top DS is wearing but decided to pick up on the read and turqoise of the washing up and the brown stripe of his sweat shirt. The pp from the Rough and Tumble Carta Bella collection went well with the photo and was another collection I had bought (just the 6x6 pad and stickers) and never used. The die cut background is from Jillibean Soup and I also used a pinwheel from Rainbow Splendour and a flair from D-Lish Scraps.

Stuck?! Sketches 1st Sept sketch

Hi,

Back with another layout. This is the 13th I've completed this month. Really pleased to get back into the scrapping groove.

Last weekend DD and I went to The Block Glasshouse Open for Inspection. She got her photo taken with some of the contestants and with Kyle and Kara from Fans v Faves, who were her favourite couple last year. Everyone waiting in line was given a pink t-shirt to wear to promote the Breast Cancer Council. It had the logo 'Real men wear pink' on it. I decided to scrap a page about it.

Off the Rails Scrapbooking Sept challenge

Hi, back for a second time today to share my take on the Off the Rails Scrapbooking challenge this month.

As soon as I saw the mood board for this months challenge I knew I had the perfect photo to go with it. Last time we were in the UK, Eleanor tried on this blue and gold mask and I snapped a picture of her doing so. I've been meaning to scrap it for ages and had already got some chipboard to go with it.

Anyway here is my take - used up a bit more of my old Basic Grey stash here.

I covered my chipboard mask with Viva Decor Inka Gold in cobalt blue and then got out the old kindyglitz in gold and outlined the edges and the swirls.

I had some homemade felt flowers that matched perfectly and added a {ScrAp this!} gold doily cut in half.

I stamped and embossed a feather as a background to each cluster before adding real feathers.

Final The Scrap Suite cybercrop challenge

This is the last page I created for the cybercrop over at The Scrap Suite. The challenge was to created a project/layout upcycling something. I had several starts at this before coming up with this take:

I upcycled the background of some alphas, some tin foil from a patty tin which I die cut and embossed and a couple of clothes tags. I love how it turned out. I used some pp and embellishments from the Kaisercraft Attitude range, some black wire, some  metal washers. I also stamped and embossed some circles.

Anna's Craft Cupboard September Sketch challenge

Hi,

Back to share with you my take on the sketch challenge over at Anna's Craft Cupboard this month.

Here is my take:

The photo is of my DD in one of the laneways which is famous for its graffiti in Melbourne.

I used a lot of Viva Decor Ferro on this one. I used gold for the stencilled brick work and on the chipboard arrow and iron on the cogs (which I then rubbed with a bit of gold buff).

I painted the chipboard title with Shimmerz paint and inked with gold.

Challenge Yourself #10 Fall favourites

I decided to join in again this month with Challenge Yourself The challenge this time is tell them what you like about Autumn and of course include a photo of yourself. Autumn is my favourite season so this was easy. I love the changing colours, the crunchy leaves, the cooler weather and capturing it all in photos. We have an annual family photo taken in Autumn.
Here is my take:

 I used some old Basic Grey Green at Heart patterned paper and stickers and created a bit of a background with some texture paste, paint and a stencil.

I have used some left over pieces of FWAB Jack Vine in Green

And then layered some FWAB Chloe Pearl Flourish in Olive Green over the top.

For my tree I used a FWAB Lee’s Tree and die cut some leaves out of patterned paper and arranged them around the tree.

The Scrap Suite (aka D-lish Scraps) cybercrop

*** WARNING LONG POST***

It's been ages since I participated in a cybercrop. D-lish Scraps ran one for it's birthday earlier this year and due to the huge response has started having monthly crops. I managed to find the time and enthusiasm to take part this month. So far I have done 4 of the challenges. Just one more to go.
Anyway here are the pages I have created so far:

For Wendy's challenge 2 to use blue, orange and green

I am loving creating busy layouts at the moment with lots of embellishments and textures.

Finally, got around to using these felt numbers from {ScrAp This!}

I used a Dyan Reaveley stencil and some ink. The cute scissors are from Studio Calico.

Leanne's Challenge 3 was to create a project using numbers and at least 3 shapes.

Here is my take:

I used some number pp and my shapes were hearts, circles and arrows. I used some pp from Jillibean Soup and some of the embellishments and title are also from JS.

I used a Charms Creations Heavenly Heart.

Agnus's Challenge 4 was to incorporate tags into your project

Here is my take:

I had one tag (the top right hand one) which was from Pink Paislee Portfolio collection. I made the others to match using some Echo Park and Fancy Pants pp. I also actually used a tag from the suit which is the subject of the page.

I embossed some brackets. The cogs and flair are from D-Lish Scraps. I also used my favourite Scrap FX stamp again!

Finally, I did the Queen of the Crop challenge, which was to scrap about some photo related and include a photo embellishment.

This is a photo of DH on Christmas Day during our Family photo shoot.

I had fun glittering the wood veneer. So much so that when DH got home from work he noticed I had bits scattered over my face!! I also had a bit of disaster as I dropped a green ink pad ink side down onto the white cardstock in the top right hand corner, so I had to amend my design to cover it.

The cute Santa and tree stickers are from Doodlebug. The wood veneer stars are from D-Lish Scraps and the HOHOHO and 25th are from Kaisercraft.
