Feb Inspiration Board at D-lish Scraps

This months inspiration board at D-lish Scraps -  Beachside Bliss is full of cool colours - aqua mixed with pearl and white. I was inspired by the summery picture and the starfish.

Here are some close ups:
I used a piece of silver wire from D-lish and shaped it into my own word - Beach

There are some gorgeous pearl starfish in the shop. I coupled this with a white heirloom flower, a couple of blue spiral stamens, a silver filigree flower centre, a blue mini metal flower and a small white rose

I used some mother of pearl Viva Decor texture creme and a Kaisercraft template for the dots. It had a wonderful shine. You can also see an aqua arrow clip.

And here is the inspiration board

As always there is a Just Add Paper kit to go with the inspiration board. You can find this here:

Scrap the Girls January challenge

I'm no a roll - second layout this week! This one is for the Scrap the Girls January challenge which this month is a sketch.

I kept fairly close to the sketch and used Kaisercraft Cherry Blossom papers and collectables. I also used some flowers from D-lish Scraps and Manor House Creations which I sprayed with a combination of cherry and peach Heidi Swapp colour shine.

Kaisercraft January challenge - a card

Well, I had some left over paper from making the previous layout that I decided to make a card for the January challenge at Kaisercraft as well.

Again, I used paper and collectables from the XO collection. I also used a Kaisercraft card, a pink paper bloom and a doily stamp from the Tea with Elsie collection. The quote is from the strip at the bottom of one of the papers in the collection. I also used a piece of ribbon I happened to have on my desk.

Here is a close up of my cluster:

Just a reminder of the challenge. It was to use the following colour palette

and paper blooms and a stamp of your choice.

Kaisercraft January Challenge layout

Yay, I've actually scrapped and it's not for a DT assignment. I've been struggling a bit with my mojo of late - since October really so it feels good to get a layout done.

This one is for the January challenge at Kaisercraft. The challenge was to use the colours provided and also paper blooms and a stamp of your choice.

Here is my effort:

I used papers and collectables from the XO Collection which perfectly matched the colour palette. I also used a Kaisercraft stencil for the texture paste, some Kaisercraft cardstock in Sea Breeze for the leaves, some Kaisercraft alphas, a Kaisercraft wood veneer heart, some Kaisercraft paper blooms, and a stamp from the Tea with Elsie collection and a background stamp.

Here are some close ups:

A quick update and some cards

I know I have been a bit slack the last couple of months but have been really busy with my son finishing school and going on holiday and now school holidays and I haven't got much scrapping done other than my DT requirements. I have however made lots of cards. I hand made all my Christmas cards this year and both DS and DD had lots of birthday parties to go to in November / December so I thought I'd share some with you.

For most of my regular Christmas cards I used Kaisercraft North Pole collection. I used a 6 x 6 pad, the collectables and stickers. I made these 23 cards and still had heaps left over.

I made a special card for my three great nephews. One of them is a big Frozen fan so I used the colours for inspiration.

And these are 2 cards which were my last project for Flourish with a Bling

This is one of the 16th birthday cards I made. I got the cut file from the Doodlebug blog and used Kaisercraft papers.

One of the 18th birthday cards I made using some old Rosa Moka pp.

This is a special card I made for my sons 18th birthday. I didn't use any cut files for this. I just made it up myself from looking at tutorials.

A card I made for my father in laws 80th birthday using Doodlebug.

And finally a simple card I made a couple of times for my kids friends using some embossing and Doodlebug again. I did make a lot more cards but forgot to photograph them before they were given away!

I hope you've enjoyed looking at my cards. I hope to be back with some scrapping really soon.

D-Lish Scraps Inspiration team and challenge

Hi there, been missing in action again. December is always such a crazy month for us. We've just come back from a week in Queensland and next week my son turns 18!
Anyway I'm delighted to say that Amanda asked me to join the D-Lish Scraps Inspiration team again for the Summer term (I was on the Autumn team earlier this year).
This month we have a very summery inspiration board called Summer Sorbet:

And here is my take on the board:

I've used lots of D-Lish goodies including
Orange felt doily
Chevron bag
Crocheted flowers
Arrow clip
Butterfly flair
Yellow Heirloom flower
Oriental lilies
Wood veneer banner
Journal It journal spots
all of which can be found in store here

Further details about the challenge and more inspiration from our other inspiration team members can be found on the D-Lish Scraps blog
