January Inspiration Board at D-lish Scraps

This month D-Lish Scraps has a wonderfully colourful Inspiration Board - Tutti Frutti and there is still time to enter.
Here is the sample I created for the Inspiration Team. I was inspired by the bright colours and the sketch.

I used the following items from the D-Lish Scraps store:

And here is the Inspiration Board

A quick update and some cards

I know I have been a bit slack the last couple of months but have been really busy with my son finishing school and going on holiday and now school holidays and I haven't got much scrapping done other than my DT requirements. I have however made lots of cards. I hand made all my Christmas cards this year and both DS and DD had lots of birthday parties to go to in November / December so I thought I'd share some with you.

For most of my regular Christmas cards I used Kaisercraft North Pole collection. I used a 6 x 6 pad, the collectables and stickers. I made these 23 cards and still had heaps left over.

I made a special card for my three great nephews. One of them is a big Frozen fan so I used the colours for inspiration.

And these are 2 cards which were my last project for Flourish with a Bling

This is one of the 16th birthday cards I made. I got the cut file from the Doodlebug blog and used Kaisercraft papers.

One of the 18th birthday cards I made using some old Rosa Moka pp.

This is a special card I made for my sons 18th birthday. I didn't use any cut files for this. I just made it up myself from looking at tutorials.

A card I made for my father in laws 80th birthday using Doodlebug.

And finally a simple card I made a couple of times for my kids friends using some embossing and Doodlebug again. I did make a lot more cards but forgot to photograph them before they were given away!

I hope you've enjoyed looking at my cards. I hope to be back with some scrapping really soon.

D-Lish Scraps Inspiration team and challenge

Hi there, been missing in action again. December is always such a crazy month for us. We've just come back from a week in Queensland and next week my son turns 18!
Anyway I'm delighted to say that Amanda asked me to join the D-Lish Scraps Inspiration team again for the Summer term (I was on the Autumn team earlier this year).
This month we have a very summery inspiration board called Summer Sorbet:

And here is my take on the board:

I've used lots of D-Lish goodies including
Orange felt doily
Chevron bag
Crocheted flowers
Arrow clip
Butterfly flair
Yellow Heirloom flower
Oriental lilies
Wood veneer banner
Journal It journal spots
all of which can be found in store here

Further details about the challenge and more inspiration from our other inspiration team members can be found on the D-Lish Scraps blog

FWAB November challenge

Hi,

It was my turn this month to provide a sample for the FWAB challenge set by Tracy Fowler.
The challenge she set was :

Summer Days Challenge… Create a layout that is inspired by summer days, using summery colour combination and has at least 3 pieces of FWAB products.

Here is my sample:

I have used some of FWAB Nicky's Beach Huts and the clouds and sun are from FWAB Up in the Sky, Maddison flowers in red, yellow and baby blue, Elise flowers in yellow and mini Maddison flowers in baby blue and red.

And here are some close ups:

So don't forget all you need to do is:
Create a layout that is inspired by summer days, using summery colour combination and has at least 3 pieces of FWAB products.
Be sure to upload your entries into the FWAB Gallery for your chance to win a glorious FWAB prize pack.

You have until the end of November.

Stuck?! Sketches Nov 1st sketch

Good morning. I hope you all had a good weekend. I managed to get a little scrapping down but mainly for DT work.

One layout I finished last week was for the first November sketch over at Stuck?!Sketches

Here is my interpretation:

This Bo Bunny Zippedee Doodle is another collection I've had for a while but never used. It seemed perfect to go with these photos of my daughters Doodle art on Starbucks coffee cups. Starbucks is her head to place when we go into the city and we often take our cups out and wash them so she has some to decorate.

Here is the sketch which my page is based on:

My guy

Kaisercraft have brought out another great boy range - Off the Wall, a great range to scrap my teenage son.
I created this layout using it and based my layout on The Scrapbook Store November sketch.  I have also entered it in the Kaisercraft Saturday November Challenge no. 2 which was to create a masculine layout using Kaisercraft.
This photo was taken a couple of months ago when we went on a day trip down to Lorne. We all got new sunglasses that day.

Besides using Off the Wall, I also used some Kaisercraft wood veneer cogs, some background stamps and silver embossed some brackets which were also from Kaisercraft.

Here are some close ups:

And here is the sketch I based my layout on:

I rotated the sketch.

I'm back

Wow, I've been a bit slack over the last six weeks. My son has had his final VCE exams and I think I have been doing all his worrying for him and that seems to have affected my creative mojo. Now the exams are finished it seems to have miraculously reappeared and I have actually scrapped 2 pages in 2 days. Anyway I thought today I'd share with you a couple of pages from last month. In fact they were the only 2 pages I did last month.
The first I did for The Scrapbook Store sketch challenge using lots of Flourish with a Bling.

Anyway, onto my layout:

I have layered some FWAB Jack Vines in green with some rhinestone flourishes which form part of FWAB Kate’s Corner Flourish in Silver

In the bottom cluster I have used two new flowers – a FWAB Elise flower in green and a small FWAB Maddison flower in lilac. I also used some more bits of Jack Vine and Kate’s Corner Flourish. They are all seated on a piece of grass out ofFWAB’s Lee’s Tree. You can also see I sprinkled a few purple adhesive pearls and silver rhinestones which also come out of the Kate’s Corner Flourish pack. I also used a rhinestone for the chipboard bunny’s eye!

In the middle cluster I used a FWAB Maddison flower in lilac together with a mix of other small flowers.

In the top cluster I have again used a FWAB Maddison flower in lilac but teamed it up with two FWAB Elise flowers in lilac. Again I added a few flowers from my own collection.

To finish off I added a few pieces of chipboard which I gessoed and coloured with a mix of Faber Castel gelatoes and stencilled some texture paste.

And this one I did for Anna's Craft Cupboard sketch challenge using the Sept cupcake kit from A Piece of Cake Designs

Thanks for looking and I hope to be a bit more regularly this month.
