Frosted Designs Spring has sprung challenge

Second post today. I managed to make another pop up card this afternoon in time for the Frosted Designs Spring has Sprung Challenge. The challenge was to use at least 3 things from this list

I made a pop up card and managed to use - bunny, jellybeans (on balloons), green card, rainbow, clouds, umbrellas, birds (on pp), yellow, blue.
I'm afraid it's a pretty crappy photo as the sun had gone down by the time I came to photograph it so had to use a flash. Will post some close ups tomorrow.

I used Doodlebug Springtime pp and stickers.
Here are some day time photos of same card.

Thanks for looking.

White with 1 May challenge

Yay, I've scrapped my first non DT layout in 2 months. I really loved the colour for this months White with 1 challenge - Gold with white. It was difficult what to use as I seem to have accumulated quite a bit of gold things lately.  Anyway this is what I created :

It was a big birthday last month and to make it more memorable I decided to do something memorable. I went on the Tall Orders experience at Werribee Zoo which included feeding the giraffes, one of my favourite animals. It was quite an experience. They are incredibly strong when pulling leaves from the branches you are holding. They also have incredibly long tongues and I had one wrapped around my hand when feeding them carrot.
Here are a couple of close ups. I used a FWAB flower here, some gold painted chipboard and cut out some leaves from gold foil card using a Spellbinders die.

I got back into using stencils. This was a new one I bought recently. I used some Viva Decor Gold texture paste. Didn't quite turn out as gold as I thought it would.

I also used some gold craft wire to encircle the photo. This is really easy to manipulate. I attached the wire with a few stitches using gold thread. Another technique I tried on this layout was foiling. In the bottom left  hand corner you can see some gold that looks a bit like embossing. But I used some glue and a stamp and then put some gold foil on top. I'm not sure I had the right glue but it looked ok for what I wanted.

Anyway, thanks for looking and hopefully I will get a lot more scrapping done this month.

Welcome May. FWAB Card

Can't believe it's May already. I only scrapped one layout last month, and that was for a DT assignment. I think I've only done 3 in the last 2 months but now with a new month and some new challenges and some new photos I'm raring to go again.
Whilst, I didn't do many pages I did make quite a few cards. My son is turning 18 and has been going to a few 16 and 18th birthday parties this year and my daughter is turning 16 and has a lot of friends 16th birthday parties to go to.
I've decided that I'm going to make them all cards so today I have a card to share that I made for FWAB for her to give to one of her friends, along with a matching envelope.
I saw the basic  design  for this pop up box card on Splitcoaststampers. You can find a tutorial on how to make one here.

I adapted the design and added cupcakes and small stars suspended on pieces of acetate.
I decorated the cupcakes with FWAB Rose pink adhesive pearls.

I decorated the opening panels with a FWAB Grace Pearl Flourish in Rose Pink cut up into 3 pieces which fit perfectly on the panels.

To finish it off I designed and made up my own envelope from a piece of 12 x 12 paper. I added some ribbon and a cup cake decorated with rose pink pearls and FWAB olive green adhesive pearls.
Thanks for looking.

Crafting by Designs Guest Designer for FWAB

This week FWAB is sponsoring the challenge over at Crafting by Designs. The theme was April showers may bring flowers and the challenge is to include flowers on your card. The FWAB design team were asked to be guest designers. Here is the card I came up with.

I have used some paper and flowers from Doodlebug and I have used a FWAB Chloe Pearl Flourish in pink, some small pieces of Jack Vine, and some individual adhesive pearls in rose pink and green.
Here are some close ups:

I hope you get a change to join in. Remember there is only a week on this one. Entries close April 29th.

Thanks for looking.

D-Lish Scraps April Inspiration Board Challenge

Well my scrapping dearth is continuing. In fact I haven't scrapped a single page for nearly 3 weeks now. This month it has partially been self imposed. I figure that if I take a break, buy some new goodies and hopefully get some new photos over Easter I will feel motivated and inspired again.

Anyway, here is the last page I scrapped - my sample for this months Tangerine Splash Inspiration Board over at D-Lish Scraps. I love the colours. I took inspiration from the colours, the straws, the banners, the wire jewellery and the chevrons.

Here are a couple of close ups.
This one shows the Freckled Fawn wooden stars and dew drops.

And this one shows the Canvas Bloom, Bicycle Flair and washi tape all from D-Lish Scraps.

And here is the inspiration board on which it is based.

Fairytale Fungi using FWAB

Good morning, I've been struggling with my mojo recently. DH has been home unemployed and it has disrupted my desire to scrap. Also I think, although I have been taking lots of photos recently they have not been of the kids. As they have got older, Eleanor especially does not like me taking her photo and Robert doesn't want to come out with us any more.  Also I always find that the less I scrap the less I want to scrap or the less inspiration I have.
Anyway, I did manage to get into the scrap room and create this layout.
Did you know that besides flourishes and flowers Flourish With A Bling also produces an outdoor range, which includes a number of embellishments which complement outdoor layouts.
In this layout I have used FWAB Taylah’s Toadstools to complement my photos of toadstools that we found recently. The toadstools come in a number of different sizes and are accompanied by a piece of grass.

And here are a couple of close ups.
