Scrapbook Savvy Dec sketch

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We just had a very quiet one with just the 4 of us. Very relaxed.

I actually got to do some scrapping today and decided to have a go at the December Scrapbook Savvy sketch. I love this photo of DS on his 16th birthday last week. I again used the Paper Stories Pop Art kit and added some diecuts from Pink Paislee Portfolio collection and also used some washi tape. I have also used a black text button from Purple Pumpkin.

The Studio Challenges December challenge

Good morning everyone. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Day and maybe you were lucky enough to get some scrapping goodies.

Today I have a layout to share with you that I did for the December challenge over at The Studio Challenges using my favourite colours - red, blue and yellow. They are such a bright happy combination. The challenge was to use layers. I found this photo recently of my DS on his 2nd birthday taken at Toddler Gym.

And here are some close ups of my Purple Pumpkin goodies. The large multicoloured spotty button was in my boy Lucky Dip Bag which I purchased in the end of year sale, along with a selection of vinyl cogs (one of my favourite embellishments). I have also used some thick red stripe washi tape in various places around my layout. I covered some labels and card and tucked them in. I have also used a line of red tickets. You can just see one poking out from the blue vinyl cog.

For my other cluster I used an extra large red spotty button, another vinyl cog from the boy Lucky Dip bag and a spotty doily which was in last years Lucky Dip bags.

White with 1 December challenge

This months challenge at White With 1 was to scrap a Christmas photo using white and red. I couldn't resist scrapping these photos of my two taken 10 years ago. I attempted to do a Christmas shoot to get a photo for a Christmas card but Eleanor kept pulling funny faces or the photos turned out a bit blurred. Now I really love them. No chance of getting them to pose these days!

I have used some MME pp paper from last Christmas, some very old felt ribbon, some washi tape, some wood veneer cameras from Studio Calico to which I added some red snowflake rub ons and a felt arrow from ScrAp That. 

Show us Your Stuff December Challenge

Good evening. Hope your Christmas preparations are going well.

Back again with another page I created using the Pop Art kit from Paper Stories. I used several of the ILS Pops Of papers. This paper is very good quality. This layout is for the December Challenge at Show Us Your Stuff which was to scrap a Christmas photo using non traditional Christmas colours and of course adding something handmade. I have used a handmade A Flair for Buttons button again from Paper Stories. This was also my first attempt at using texture paste to create the large snowflakes. What I didn't realise was that the Dylusions spray I had sprayed onto the patterned paper would be soaked up into the snowflake giving them an aqua look instead of remaining white.

Paper Stories December sketch challenge

Hi, how's it going. We are in holiday mode here with the kids on school holidays and DH off work until January.

I'm actually finding some time to scrap now. As soon as I saw the new Pop Art kit at Paper Stories I knew I had to get it as the colours were just so Eleanor and when it arrived yesterday I got straight into creating with it. What better challenge to start with than Paper Stories own sketch challenge. 

 

Here is my interpretation of it. All the patterned paper, the twine, some of the sequins, the metal flair button, chipboard alphas and arrow are from the kit. I have added some light blue diamond washi tape and purple spotty button top from Purple Pumpkin, a Lime Tree Creations teal crocheted doily, a journal spot, large purple felt flower and purple butterfly cabochon from DLish Scraps and some hand made felt flowers, ribbon and ric rac and purple sequins.

Scrap the Boys December challenge

Here is my take on the December challenge over at Scrap the Boys, which was to scrap a Christmas themed photo using a non-traditional colour scheme. 

I have scrapped some photos of DS opening his Christmas presents last year and used the colour scheme - black, grey and red - Very DS as he normally only wears grey and black!

I decided to have a go at layering and pulled out lots of bits of patterned paper from my scraps box and teamed them with a piece of Bella Boulevard pp for the background, some black paint and black adhesive felt stars, a few stickers and a handmade washi tape banner.

Purple Pumpkin December sketch challenge

Welcome to December, where did the rest of the year go?!!. The December sketch challenge is up at Purple Pumpkin and we'd love you to have a go.

Here is my take. I thought I'd go Christmassy. My daughter is mad on rabbits as we have one (Midget) and at the recent Melbourne Sewing and Craft Show we found a stall selling knitted toy patterns and kits but mainly rabbits and bears - Cameron James Designs They were really cute and so I let Eleanor choose one and I said I'd make it up for her for Christmas. She chose Holly Bunny. I ended up buying the kit as I thought if I just got the pattern I wouldn't be as inclined to knit it. It was the first time I'd knitted anything like this and I really quite enjoyed it.

Anyway onto the Purple Pumpkin goodies. Here I have used a red spotty button top and wrapped some red bakers twine around it.

I also used the red bakers twine to hang my red thick stripe washi tape banner on and there's a green ticket you can see sneaking out.

Finally, my top cluster consists of more red washi tape, more red bakers twine, a red spotty button, a older bunny button and a mini wooden heart button.
