They say things come in threes

On Thursday night it was 3 good things. I got home from work to find an email from SM accepting one of my submissions. Second I got a phone call informing me of a pay rise for next financial year and thirdly I found out I had got the guest designer spot for Scrapz.biz next month so will be setting 4 challenges for them and Heike is sending me out some yummy pp.

Meanwhile here are some layouts I've done for various challenges this month.
First up is one for Scrapbooking Top50. This was Sue's challenge to use the words You Are and include printed journalling and a frame. This lo is about how DS is now so much taller than me and he is only 14! In fact he is now the tallest in the family at just over 6 foot 1.

Second up is a layout for the sketch challenge over at Handmade by Suzanne.

Finally, another layout using Echo Park Summer Days this time for Out of the Hat. The criteria was to use bright colours, 6 buttons and a kraft base.

Scrapzbiz CC

It is Scrapzbiz's 1st ever Cybercrop "Life is a Quilt" on at the moment and I've been scrapping my socks off and managed to get all 6 challenges done in 3 days. Having no work at the moment means I've got some spare time to scrap!

First up was Sheree's challenge which was to include fabric, stitching and at least 3 buttons. Here is my take. I used some October Afternoon Campfire pps, one of which I stitched around. Added to these were some hessian, ribbon, Jillibean corrugated shapes, home made bottle top, home made lollipop flower made from hessian and felt, chipboard tree with buttons added, twine and OA Campfire stickers.

Challenge 2 was to make a card inspired by a quilt pattern. I went with a windmill pattern, similar to a scrapbook page I did for Scrapbooking Top 50 last month. I have used Basic Grey Green at Heart.

Kerryn had a colour challenge for Challenge 3. The colours were: blue, red, yellow and green. Here is my take using some Crate Paper pp and chipboard stickers, Jillibean Soup Sprout and homemade corrugated clouds.

Challenge 4 was a sketch challenge and for extra criteria we had to use photos that weren't particularly good on their own but would convey a moment or story when put together. I used some Echo Park Summer Days pp and My Little Shoe Box pp, a cupcake cut from some Kaisercraft pp, a very old Making Memories Journal page, some doilies, Lily Bee stickers, Scrapware chipboard (that I'd been keeping for this theme) and a My Little Bit of Whimsy cupcake on a pin.

Challenge 5 was a Scrap it Blind challenge with guest DT Fiona providing the instructions. Here is my take using MME Lime Twist.

Lastly, Sheree held an online class last night. I started doing some of the instructions last night but finished it off this morning. Here is my take using Echo Park Summer Days.

Kraft it Up June Challenge

This month's challenge at Kraft it Up was to use Kraft and to include at least 3 photos showing a timeline and to journal about what the timeline was. I have scrapped about DD's ever growing hair. It is now just past her bottom and she has no intention of cutting it short. She does get it trimmed under protest every now and then. I have used some Jillibean Soup pp, alphas and kraft corrugated trees.

Scrap the GIrls June Challenge

It's a while since I've had a go at Scrap the Girls but I liked the colours of this challenge so had a go. This is my take. I like colour challenges as you get to use bits and bobs from lots of different manufacturers. In this one I have used Echo Park, Bella Boulevard, American Crafts, Prima, Heidi Swapp and Pink Paislee along with a Purple Pumpkin doilie and a home made Fimo panda!

Scrapbooking Top 50 layouts

Yay, I got an acceptance from Scrapbooking Memories yesterday. In looking for the layout on my blog to take down I realised I hadn't put any of the layouts I did for challenges and the CC over at Scrapbooking Top50 last month.

This was my entry for Vicki's challenge (which I won). The criteria was to include a single photo, a tree and the word "together".

This was one of my entries for the Sweet Treats CC last month. The other entry was the one picked up by SM.
For this one we had to include the quote which is included on the page, buttons and an insect.

These next 2 layouts were for this month's Fairy Tales CC. The first was for Sue's Frog Prince challenge which was to include green, a crown embellishment and a royal title in the title eg prince, king, queen, princess.

Ant's challenge was to have the title of a fairy tale as the title or one that was adapted from a fairy tale, bling and photos which weren't the usual rectangle shape.
This layout includes photos of DD a week apart looking very different!

Finally, this was my layout for Ant's monthly challenge which was to include stitching on the layout, bling and some quilt like paper piecing.

Design Dollies Trifacta Challenge

It's been a while since I had a go at one of the Design Dollies challenge but this one caught my eye. The three criteria were: to use the sketch provided, to use 3 of the four colours (chocolate, mid pink, white and dark blue) and to use creative folding. I opted to use chocolate, pink and white and created some pleated flowers for my folding. DD has wanted to go to 'Build a Bear' for a while and her chance came when one of her best friends invited her there for her birthday. Of course DD made a bunny, which she named Chocolate. On my layout I have also used: a pink doily from Lime Tree Creations, buttons from Lil Red Rocket and Purple Pumpkin, some old rub ons, pp from Crate Paper and Bo Bunny.

This is also for the May Girls challenge over at Lime Tree Creations
