A lonesome 1 layout

Life has just been so busy lately with the usual end of year concerts and things that I haven't had much time to scrap. I finally finished DD's graduation dress. Yay.

I did manage to get this one done for the November Top 50 CC. The criteria for Antheas challenge was to scrap a photo with happy memories. Use a photo that was not 4 x 6 and to use the word Remember or something similar on the layout.

I used MME Fine and Dandy True Blue pp and stickers. I die cut the clouds and stars. Added a ribbon from Chip Chop Shop and flower and ribbon from Purple Pumpkin.

A Cute Little Giveaway!!

Pretty cute, huh? I tried to keep it pretty neutral - not too girly, not too boyish. This is what's in the prize pack...3 dyed vintage doilys, yoyo flower, fabric and chenille flower, 2 spotty denims, 4 spotty buttons, 3 owl buttons, 1 XL panda button, blue and white twine, ribbon.

First 3 layouts for November

First up is a layout for Scrapbook Savvy's Sar's Random Kit challenge using the He's Savvy kit. The criteria were to use white space, glimmermist (on cogs) and fussy cutting (roads, clouds, plane, border strip). Everything I have used is from the kit except for the buttons.


Second up is Sue's inspiration challenge at Scrapbook Top 50. I used the colours and the stars as inspiration. I have used a mish mash of pps and cut the stars out from corrugated cardboard on my Cuttlebug.



Third layout is for Out of the Hat Challenge. The criteria this month were to use a painted base, corrugated cardboard and twine.

Last one for the month of October

I got this one finished yesterday but because we have had so much rain over the weekend only got it photoed this morning, when the rain cleared. This is for the colour challenge at Scrapbook Savvy. The colours to use were: purple, red, yellow and white. I used a mish mash of papers and embellies. I made the pipecleaner flower and felt embellie and square button myself. The yellow spotty button is from Purple Pumpkin and the yellow doilie from The Chip chop Shop.

Lil Red Rocket Birthday Celebration Sketch

I have just discovered Lil Red Rocket and am awaiting my first order. It is their first birthday celebration this month so decided to join in with their birthday sketch. This is my take using My Minds Eye Lil Robot pp and a chippy cog from Dusty Attic.

A couple more layouts

Busy week this week so I don't expect to get any more scrapping done till the weekend, if then. I had high hopes of getting some done this weekend but DH was out on Saturday so I was left battling with DS to get his overdue homework done and then on Sunday DD and I went out for a girls day out in the city to do some retail therapy.

First layout up is for the Kit challenge over at Scrapbook Savvy. For a while now I have been eyeing up their kits and this month I finally took the plunge and bought the We Savvy kit. The challenge was to use any of this months kits to do a layout that included doodling with 2 colours, paper folding and layering.



Second layout is for the sketch comp over at Handmade by Suzanne. I have used Bo Bunny Olivia pp for this one.

Top50 Oct CC challenges

I managed to get all the challenges including the mini challenges done in a week.

Here is my take of the mini challenge. We had to produce a card/LO smaller than 12x12 which included the word 'home' or 'made'. I decided to do a popup card using mostly Echo Park 'Life is Good' range of pp.



For challenge 1 we had to do a layout about a kids creation and include eyelets or paperclips, twine, buttons and foam tape. I finally got to use my Sassafras Lass Nerdy Bird pp. I bought it when it first came out and haven't been game to use it but pleased with how this turned out. I have also used an apple button from Purple Pumpkin and a birdie from Chip Chop Shop.







For challenge 2 we had to produce a hand drawn sketch and do a layout based on it. We also had to use ribbon and at least 3 pp.

And here is my layout. I used a lot of ribbons from Oct Craft Queen ribbon club.



Challenge 3 was to do a layout on any theme, include 3 handmade elements (could be bought), gingham or checks and machine/hand stitching.

This is DD in her Grade 6 production performing I do like to be beside the seaside. My handmade elements were the banner (made from ribbon and paper string), the pinwheel and a cute boat with sails from the Chip Chop Shop. I also used some cute ribbon from Craft Queen.


For the final challenge we had to do a LO about something we had made ourselves instead of buying it. Extra criteria included hidden journalling, PP background, mixed alpha title and at least 5 brads.

My layout is about a signature bunny I made for DD for when she graduates from primary school in December. I used Kaisercraft Konstruct PP for this and a cute bunny fabric button from Purple Pumpkin.
