Not much mojo

I am recovering from an operation and it seems to have taken my mojo with it. I have 2 weeks at home to convalesce and plenty of time to scrap but can't get in the mood.

I have managed to do 3 things this week.
First up is for Vicki's CC challenge at Scrapbook Top 50. This CC is all about 'independence' and for this challenge we had to scrap about a career choice and include distressing, stitching, multi alpha title and strip journalling. This LO is about my sons love of planes and his desire to be an aeronautic engineer.

Second up is a card I did for the Mini challenge where we had to use 1 piece of pp, 1 piece of cardstock, 1 pin, 1 ribbon and 1 button and a 1 word title.

Finally, is a layout I did for the sketch comp over at Handmade by Suzanne. I used some very old Kaisercraft On the Dot pp.

Seem to be a bit of grey phase at the moment as this is the 3rd layout this month I have used grey. Not my favourite colour.

Out of the Hat July entry

I was thrilled and excited to learn that I had won the Mega Scrap prize over at Out of the Hat challenge last month.

Here is my entry for this month. The criteria that came out of the hat were: include a rainbow; include a critter (butterfly, bug etc) and to use bare chipboard.

Scrap Boutique Stash Stomper

I really expected to get more scrapping done over the school holidays but it has been quite busy with one thing and another. Here is one I did manage to do for the July Scrap Boutique Stash Stomper. Based on a sketch by Em, we also had to use a chippy frame (mine's and old one from Chatterbox), some buttons and brads and some of our new pp (I used Bo Bunny Sunkissed).

A few more layouts

Yay, my cycling layout in the previous post won at the Scrapboutique CC.

Here are a few layouts I have done over the past week or so. First up is one for the ARTastic blog challenge. Inspiration had to be drawn from the painting "The perfumed garden" by John Coburn. Extra criteria were to include a tree, falling leaves and 2 different coloured birds. I drew the tree myself.

This second layout is for Sue's challenge at Top 50 Scrapbooking. The criteria was to include green, have at least 2 bows, use the word 'happy' in the title or journalling and include a handmade transparency.

The final layout this time is for the newly revived 123 challenge. The criteria this month was to use the word "new" in the title, have predominantly white and have a paint smeared background.

Scrapboutique CC

Three very different layouts for the challenges I did at Scarpboutique over the weekend. The first was for Linda's 'Home' challenge. The criteria were wer include a photo of a home, word home in title, at least 40 words of journalling, at least 5 buttons and some ribbon/lace/trim. I wanted to do a layout about the house I was born in and grew up as it is in the process of being sold at the moment. Had real trouble picking a design and colours to work but eventually came up with this, using some Crate Paper Brook pp and some old MME pp.

The second challenge was based on a sketch and had to be about an indoor or outdoor activity and have at least 2 photos. I used some old Rosa Moka pp and it gave me a chance to play with my new Tim Holtz cog die cut an Tim Holtz masks.

The third layout is for Em's Roast (similar to a blind scrap). This is my first 8.5 x 11 inch layout.
