Some new Uproar layouts/projects

I had hoped to keep this updated weekly but somehow time seems to have slipped away from me so here is some of my recent layouts done for Uproar

This was Kylies challenge in the recent Hop to it cybercrop. You had to create either something to hold eggs or a block of chocolate, use pastel colours and easter embellishments. I made this basket out of a piece of 12 x 12 Bazill cardstock and some strips of paper.

The ATC challenge was to create an ATC with either a bird or a rabbit on and again use pastel colours. Here is my take.

Lisa's challenge was to use the word tradition somewhere on the layout. I decided to do a layout about the tradition of having the middle name Jeanne. My grandmother was French and was called Jeanne. She gave my mum it as a middle name, I have the same middle name, and so does my daughter. I used Bo Bunny Alissa pp for this layout. Loving it. Watch out for another layout pretty soon using it.

This was my take on the Monthly challenge over at Uproar. Had to use red and green and do a layout about someone you admire. This layout is about my Great Uncle Cecil who was killed in WW1. The letter in the background is one written by him to my Grandfather.

Finally, here is a layout I did using Bella Boulevard Swing into Spring stickers, of the annual Easter bonnet parade at the primary school.

TSE layouts

TSE had a blind cybercrop last weekend. Here is my layout. I used WRMK Nonsense Frenzy pp again. I have just got a new supply so expect to see some more layouts using it.

I have also done a couple of layouts for the April sketch challenge at TSE. The sketch this month was provided by Ruth Clark.
For this first one, I turned the sketch its side. I was having trouble matching a paper to the blue when I received a parcel in the post wrapped in blue tissue paper, which matched perfectly. I used it for two of the stripes and for the flowers.

My second take on the TSE April sketch. I replaced the embellishments with photos. This layout uses Crate Paper Prudence range.

I also created 2 cards using the same sketch.
The first uses Making Memories 5th Avenue journalling page, paper and embellishments.
The second uses 3 Bugs in a Rug What a Hoot pp and sticker.

Amazing Race Week 5

Well my run this in contest has finally come to an end. I must admit I was surprised I got this far. Got luck to the remaining 6 contestants. I have an inkling who the winners will be.
We had to use pp from 3 different manufacturers (I used Sassafras Lass - yellow, Fancy Pants - blue and Cosmo Cricket for the red), journalling and 3 photos. I didn't get time to scrap until Friday and then had a day from hell. Poor DS had been picked on at school that week and ended up hitting a boy who wouldn't stop hassling him. I can understand why he did it but he has to learn that it wasn't the appropriate action to take. Subsequently, he has to go to school on Monday for 3 hours. Besides this he also lost his mobile phone TWICE and thankfully it was handed into the school office twice. To add to this DD's school bag broke. It was only bought new at the beginning of the year.

Anyway here is my layout. The photos are of Eleanor in her new Little Miss Sunshine pyjamas.

Uproar Cybercrop

Managed to get 5 challenges done over at Uproar in the Go Green with Us cybercrop

Here is Lisa's Challenge 1 entry - We had a picture to take inspiration from. I used the colours and the environmental message. The photo is one of Robert from when we went to Broome.

Amanda's Challenge 2 was to use junk mail on our layout. I cut the lettering out of junk mail and went the whole hog and used recycled bits for the rest of my layout except the base.

Kylies Challenge 3 was to create 3 shaped cards using scrapping scraps and metal on each card.

Leanne's Challenge 4 was to create an all green layout. Again I choose to do an environmental message too.

Challenge 5 was to create an ATC using something recycled, some green and the recycled theme.
I used old stamps for the background and a phrase from a past World Environment Day.

Amazing Race Week 4/5

Well, the amazing thing is I am through to week 5 of the Amazing Race over at Mystical. We are down to 12 contestants now.
Here is my layout for Week 4 - Using a large photo, numbers (the calendar stamp) and bling.

For week 5 we have to use paper from 3 different manufacturers, journalling and 3 photos.

Some more layouts that I have done this year

These are more Wipeout layouts:

These were for the TSE Feb Cybercrop. My card won.

A couple of new layouts

I had a terrible time trying to decide what to do for the Amazing Race this week. I think I must have changed my mind a dozen times. Not entirely happy with the end result but will see. There are a lot of talented ladies left so it will be hard to get through to the next round.

Anyway I did manage to get 3 layouts done.

The first is for Scrap the Girls. We had to use a sketch.

I 'found' these photos of Eleanor amongst some Christmas photos and altered them slightly in Photoshop Elements. I used some Kaisercraft Sorbet patterned paper and my Cuttlebug.

The next layout was for the TSE March sketch

.

This is another layout using Kaisercraft Funfair pp.

My final layout for the week is for one of the weekly challenges over at Uproar2Scrapmore

You had to use red, triangle and no flourishes. This is an old photo of Robert at his 7th birthday party.
There is a cybercrop on at Uproar this weekend with a 'green' theme. Hope to get the challenges done.
