Midget's 5th birthday Aussie Scrap Source Readers Challenge

Last week I caught up with the fact that Aussie Scrap Source was having a series of Reader Challenges designing with different things. I missed the first one but last week it was designing with masks/stencils and sprays. Here is the layout I created. I used texture paste and a stencil, I embossed some areas with clear embossing powder and then sprayed with 3 different colour sprays. then I inked through another 2 different stencils with 3 more inks.

Products used:
Tattered Angels Key Lime Glimmermist
Tattered Angels Cornflower Daze Chalkboard Glimmermist
Heidi Swapp Colour Shine in teal
The Crafters Workshop stencils – 6x6 Kaleidoscope, 6x6 Mini harlequin and 6x6 Tiny circles
Distress Inks – Peeled paint, Chipped Sapphire and Broken China.
Patterned paper and diecuts are from Jillibean Soup.

White with 1 Sept challenge

White with 1 have gone back to their roots and this month's challenge is to create a layout with White and Pistachio. Wasn't too sure what shade of green pistachio was so I picked something similar and created this layout. Another layout with lots of texture paste. I mixed my own green paste by adding some Mr Hueys mist to my texture paste. I really love that Crafters Workshop little dots template at the moment. I also used natural texture paste and just sprayed over the top of it. I also used some Distress Ink and inked through a 3rd template.
The pictures are of my 'friendly' nervous semi feral cat Smudge that I have been feeding for over a year now. My husband took these and it was hiding from him.

Here are some close ups of the texture paste

Thanks for looking

Stuck Sketches September 1st sketch Challenge

I seem to have been doing a lot of pages with sprays and texture paste and not much paper lately. I really liked the sketch this month over at Stuck Sketches so decided to keep fairly simple and not alter the sketch too much.  I'd just bought some stickers and chipboard from the new Say Cheese range by Simple Stories and they were perfect for these photos of Cosentino and my DD posing with her new Cosentino t shirt.

And some close ups.

A Purple Pumpkin Flair button.

And here is the sketch my layout is based on:

As I say I kept pretty close to it.

Probably back with some more tomorrow.

You still hold the key to my heart - The Trinket Track

Time seems to have got away from me and I never got around to sharing a layout I did for The Trinket Track blog.

I recently celebrated my 20th Wedding Anniversary and I got my daughter to take some photos of me and my husband in the back garden. The photo on this layout was the best of the bunch.
I love the ruffled chiffon flowers in the shop and wanted to make this teal one the centre piece of my layout.

A close up of the chiffon flower.

I added some smaller flowers including some classic rose cabochons in peach.

Here used a Santa Key pendant as part of my title and added another resin flower in the centre.

Don't forget The Trinket Track is turning 1 and we have a special blog hop arranged for Saturday 14th Sept. Be sure to stop by then for your chance to win some goodies.

Until next time
