Kraft It Up Jan challenge

This months Kraft it Up challenge was to use kraft as a base and use the colour palette red/yellow/green/aqua. I love this palette so decided to give it a go. This is what I came up with using a picture of DD after we had visited The Block Open for Inspection last year.

Remaining Biggest Loser missions

I manged to get all 14 of the Biggest Loser Missions completed. Here are the remaining 7 (The 14th was a swap).

Mission 7 was to create a card or layout using embellishments created by using punches, dies or embossing folders. I used dies to cut out my clouds, kit, circles and stars. I ran the clouds through the swirly embossing folder on my Cuttlebug.

Mission 14 Was to use a sketch to create a layout which included 3 pieces of ribbon. I love how the Crafters brickwall template turned out on this layout. I've also included a Purple Pumpkin owl button. 

Mission 13 was to create a card or layout using buttons creatively. I decided to frame my photo using buttons. I think I used up just about all the pink buttons I had!

Mission 10 was to create a card or layout and repurpose some old printed chipboard. This was the most satisfying challenge as I got to use some chipboard that I probably won't have used otherwise. The arrows and stars and bracket started life as Two Scoops printed chipboard which I loved when it first came out but now I would have struggled to use it. I sanded it down and painted it navy blue to match the layout.

Mission 8 was to create a card or layout using stamps to create your own inches and using the sketch we used for Mission 4. I decided to go with a card this time.

 Mission 11 was to create a card or 2 using a bingo/journalling card and at least one sticker/rubon.

 Finally, Mission 9 was based on a sketch again and we had to include a multi-alpha title.

I had great fun playing along with all the challenges and got to use up some stuff that had been languishing in my stash.

Scrapz.biz Biggest Loser more missions

Despite being ill for a week I have managed to keep up with the Missions in the Biggest Loser. Here are another 3 completed layouts.

Mission 6. We had to do a layout which involved handcutting by scissors or knife either elements of patterned paper or free hand shapes. I handcut the penguins out of Three Bugs in  Rug pp.

 Mission 4 was based on a sketch. I decided to use up some old Kaisercraft pps again. and some old rub on alphas that I bought when I started scrapbooking.

Mission 5 was to create a layout from scraps and to include a banner on the layout. I loved this challenge and used up scraps of Echo Park pp.

Guest designer at Scrapbook Savvy

 I finally got my Merry Savvy Traditional kit to play with last week. There is one left here at Scrapbook Savvy

I strugged a bit with the colours at first but managed to do 4 layouts out of it in under 24 hours and I still has some scraps left over.

Biggest loser at Scrapz.biz

 I am taking part in the Biggest Loser at Scrapz.biz
The first mission was to tidy your scrap desk and create a simple layout from the sketch provided. Here is my layout and the hidden journalling which I had to include. Couldn't leave a title like that without any explanation.

I used some old Pink Paislee ranges on this one.

For mission 2 we had to arrange our cardstock. This I already had done and then produce a layout using cardstock as the base of a sketch provided. I challenged myself to use some coloured cardstock as I very rarely use it now and again use up some old pp. This time I used some Kaisercraft.

For the 3rd mission we had to go through our patterned paper and divide into keep and throw out or donate. I couldn't bear to do this. I am such a hoarder and always think I might need it.

and again used up some old pp, this time from Sass Lass.

Scrap the Boy January challenge

I decided to have a go at the January challenge at Scrap the Boys too. The criteria was to scrap a page of what your boy enjoys doing the summer holidays.

We try to get down to the beach a few times and DS enjoys mucking about in the sand - whether its digging, building or burying various parts of himself. These photos were taken on New Years Eve when we went down to Point Roadknight near Anglesea.

Scrap the Boys December challenge

I would like to start by wishing all my followers a Happy New Year and hope you had a wonderful Christmas.

I finished this one for Scrap the Boys December challenge a few days ago. The challenge was a colour one to use - red, white, blue and green, plus a xmas theme and one or two photos. I dug through my collection and found these ones of DS when he was in Prep (10 years ago!). I used some Echo Park pp and Bo Bunny Blast Off and some embellishments I got from my Secret Santa over at ScrapzBiz. I also included a Purple Pumpkin spotty button.
