Another double

I couple of weeks ago I found a great blog Scrapbooking Ali with some great double sketches and variations on how to use them. This layout is based on this months sketch. (The double I did in a previous post is based on last months sketch). I have used a mixture of Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg and Crate Paper pps. This is my 3rd and 4th layout for Bootcamp.

Some more layouts

Well, my layouts for Bootcamp aren't coming along. I think I'm overfaced with too many photos.
Anyway did manage to get another layout out the Kaiser Shaken not Stirred pp I had and still have some left. This one is for the Stash Stomper over at Scrapboutique. This is based on a sketch and the other criteria was to use scraps from our desk.



I also got a lot of new papers arrive last week so wanted to get into them and managed to do this one of DD and her braces for the sketch challenge over at Anna's Craft Cupboard. This is using the new Jillibean Monster Stew pp.



Had planned to do some scrapping today but only got as far as tidying my desk up a bit. Did get DD's signature rabbit finished though so now it's onto the graduation dress!

I've made a start

Well, August came and went with me only completing 1 layout :(
This month things are easing off a bit. I am only working a max of 3 days per week until the end of October and there is 2 weeks school holidays coming up, though DH is having a week off and I am working 3 days.

Things are going to be a bit quiet round here this week as DD left for a week in Canberra on Grade 6 camp. She gets back Friday afternoon and then DS goes on a scout camp that evening until Sunday!

Anyway this weekend I actually sat down and did some scrapping. Here is my first layout for the Bootcamp over at Blue Bazaar. Actually it counts as No. 1 and 2 as it's a double. These pages are going to concentrate more on the photos than fancy scrapbooking. Between us we took over 5000 photos on our trip so I have no shortage. I've done a few for previous bootcamps but am still on the first few days of our trip in London.
For this layout I used Kaisercraft Shaken not Stirred.



Last weekend (Aug 29th) I went to Paperific at the Melbourne Showgrounds. I booked in to do a class with Scrapware, the chipboard company. I love their stuff. Anyway this is how my layout turned out. It uses some new designs of chipboard and Basic Grey Olivia pps.



As I had the Kaisercraft pps out I decided I might as well try to use them all up. This layout is for Out of the Hat. The criteria were to use a border strip, at least 6 buttons and incorporate the title in the journalling.



Well, I still have some scraps left so might get another layout out of it and possibly a card.

I'm back!

I've had to put scrapbooking on the back burner at the moment as I have so much going on. I'm working extra hours and doing some work from home. This is DD's last year at primary school and I have promised to make her a signature rabbit and a graduation dress so really want to get those out of the way before December looms. I just about finished the rabbit yesterday. Only have to design a hat for it and do the nose and it's finished.
So after packing my sewing machine up I allowed myself the luxury of scrapping a page. I bought a kit of Sassafras Indie Girl from Scrapbooking by Scratch with a voucher I won earlier in the year and it had been sitting on my desk. I really wanted to use it. Luckily, it matched this photo of myself when 8 months pregnant with DD which I had printed off earlier this month for the Screen 2 Scrap challenge. The criteria for this challenge were to use a pregnancy or baby photo, stripes and a handcut title.

Not sure I'll get any more scrapping done this month. I had hoped to join in the Bootcamp going on at Blue Bazaar in the next 2 months. Scrap 50 photos and use 50 pieces of pp. I really want to get some pages done of our trip to the UK in 2008. Will have to see how I go.

Scrapbook Savvy Winter CC

Here are a couple of layouts I did for last weekend's CC at Scrapbook Savvy.
The first one is for Anthea's challenge. The criteria were to use curled edges, paint or glimmer mist, a winter type photo and no cardstock unless for matting the photo or journalling. I used some Christmas MME pp from last year.


This second layout is for Kerryn's Puzzle challenge which was to include clouds, sun, raindrops, umbrella and puddles on your layout.

Happy Anniversary

Yes, it's our 17th Wedding anniversary today and 24 years to the day that we met in New Zealand. Here is the only photo I could find on of the day on my computer. How time flies.

In the middle of an incredibly busy week. DD had her Grade 6 production last night, which went very well. She enjoyed herself immensely and I'm sure it's going to be a struggle to get her out of bed in about half an hour. She has to perform it for the school today and then tonight she is part of the supporting cast for the other half of Grade 6.

Here's a layout I forgot to upload the other day. I'm not normally one to do classes but I really wanted to try doing some pipe cleaner flowers and knew exactly what photo and pp I was going to use. So this was Amanda's class over at Scrapboutique.

Last of my July scrapping

I joined in with the 3rd birthday cybercrop over at Scrapboutique last week. Here are the 2 challenges I managed to get done.
The first is for Em's sketch challenge. Extra criteria were to use a 3 word title, 3 photos or a photo cut into thirds, and 3 strips of journalling.


Sharon's colour challenge was to use purple, white and aqua/teal. I couldn't resist using the Bo Bunny Peacock Lane that was sitting on my desk.


This is for the monthly challenge at Scrapboutique - to scrap a birthday and include a cake.


This month at Scrapbook Savvy there is a new ABC challenge. This month the challenge was to create a layout with a title beginning with A and include arrows and acrylic paint. I have been wanting to scrap these photos of DD for a while now but the red background was putting me off. I decided on some Jillibean pp and alphas for this.


Finally, a quick card I made for the card sketch challenge at Handmade by Suzanne. I used Kaisercraft Lilac Avenue for this one.
