Scrapbooking Top 50 entries

Here are some layouts and I card I have done recently for Scrapbooking Top 50. The first is an entry for their 30 weeks till Christmas contest. Challenge 1 is to produce a layout or card with dots, spots and doodling. I have used some Sassafras Lass sunshine lollipops pp.

This layout is for the April sketch challenge.I have used MME Bloom and Grow pp.

This is for the April layout challenge to produce a layout about what Easter means to you. I have used some Creative Imaginations Samantha Walker pp. Into multi photo layouts at the moment.

Finally, a card for the stamping challenge. An Easter card. Love this bunny stamp from Hero Arts.

Scrapbooking Top 50 are having a week long cybercrop starting Wednesday 6th May. Here is the link to it:

TSE April Cybercrop

This months cybercrop was around the theme 'Celebration'. I managed to do all 4 challenges.
The first challenge was set by Tanya. For this we had to create a layout about a significant female in our lives, use pink and some journalling. I created a layout about my daughter - the only significant female in my life! I again used Bo Bunny Alissa pp. I'm really pleased how this turned out.

Jaimee set the 2nd challenge, which was a card using a Becky Fleck stekch. You also had to use something transparent and buttons. I used Alison Ellis What Birthday? patterned paper for this. My transparent butterflies were from Heidi Swapp.
Third challenge was Beths. For this we had to create a layout with a number as a design feature, use paper rolling and a stamp. Again I used Alison Ellis What birthday? pp.

The final challenge was set by Ngaire and was again a layout. We had to include a photo of something rather than someone, brads and a handmade journalling spot. This is about my son's love of mudcake for his birthday. I used Scenic Route Surprise and Appleton pp, an Alison Ellis chipboard cupcake, Buzz & Bloom alphas covered in Doodlebug glitter and Lime Rickey brads.

7 Deadly sins

7 Deadly Sins started over at Wicked Princesses last week. The first challenge was Pride. You had to create a layout with the title 'It's all about me' and use only purple and use bling. Here is my effort. Wasn't hard finding purple in my stash as it is my daughter's favourite colour so I keep a stock of it.

For an extra challenge you could create a card again using purple and bling but this time with the sentiment 'Celebrate You'. Here is my card. I painted some green Prima leaves with Twinkling H2O's and glittered a chipboard swirl.

This weeks challenge is to use green and black and to do a layout about envy or your green eyed monsters. Unfortunately, I haven't been feeling too well this week with sinus trouble and I just can't get motivated to do this so have decided to drop out.

Some new Uproar layouts/projects

I had hoped to keep this updated weekly but somehow time seems to have slipped away from me so here is some of my recent layouts done for Uproar

This was Kylies challenge in the recent Hop to it cybercrop. You had to create either something to hold eggs or a block of chocolate, use pastel colours and easter embellishments. I made this basket out of a piece of 12 x 12 Bazill cardstock and some strips of paper.

The ATC challenge was to create an ATC with either a bird or a rabbit on and again use pastel colours. Here is my take.

Lisa's challenge was to use the word tradition somewhere on the layout. I decided to do a layout about the tradition of having the middle name Jeanne. My grandmother was French and was called Jeanne. She gave my mum it as a middle name, I have the same middle name, and so does my daughter. I used Bo Bunny Alissa pp for this layout. Loving it. Watch out for another layout pretty soon using it.

This was my take on the Monthly challenge over at Uproar. Had to use red and green and do a layout about someone you admire. This layout is about my Great Uncle Cecil who was killed in WW1. The letter in the background is one written by him to my Grandfather.

Finally, here is a layout I did using Bella Boulevard Swing into Spring stickers, of the annual Easter bonnet parade at the primary school.

TSE layouts

TSE had a blind cybercrop last weekend. Here is my layout. I used WRMK Nonsense Frenzy pp again. I have just got a new supply so expect to see some more layouts using it.

I have also done a couple of layouts for the April sketch challenge at TSE. The sketch this month was provided by Ruth Clark.
For this first one, I turned the sketch its side. I was having trouble matching a paper to the blue when I received a parcel in the post wrapped in blue tissue paper, which matched perfectly. I used it for two of the stripes and for the flowers.

My second take on the TSE April sketch. I replaced the embellishments with photos. This layout uses Crate Paper Prudence range.

I also created 2 cards using the same sketch.
The first uses Making Memories 5th Avenue journalling page, paper and embellishments.
The second uses 3 Bugs in a Rug What a Hoot pp and sticker.

Amazing Race Week 5

Well my run this in contest has finally come to an end. I must admit I was surprised I got this far. Got luck to the remaining 6 contestants. I have an inkling who the winners will be.
We had to use pp from 3 different manufacturers (I used Sassafras Lass - yellow, Fancy Pants - blue and Cosmo Cricket for the red), journalling and 3 photos. I didn't get time to scrap until Friday and then had a day from hell. Poor DS had been picked on at school that week and ended up hitting a boy who wouldn't stop hassling him. I can understand why he did it but he has to learn that it wasn't the appropriate action to take. Subsequently, he has to go to school on Monday for 3 hours. Besides this he also lost his mobile phone TWICE and thankfully it was handed into the school office twice. To add to this DD's school bag broke. It was only bought new at the beginning of the year.

Anyway here is my layout. The photos are of Eleanor in her new Little Miss Sunshine pyjamas.
