Scrapbook Savvy Easter CC

I managed to do one of the challenges for the Easter CC over at Scrapbook Savvy. This one was set by Kerryn and involved using puzzle pieces - a rabbit, a bow, a heart, an arrow and a ticket.

For this I used some photos of DD with her rabbit on Easter day and some old MM Garden Party pp and embellishments.

Stuck Apr 1st sketch

I think this may be the first time I've done a Stuck sketch. I've been waiting to scrap this photo for a while and when I saw the sneak peeks of Echo Park Summer Days pp I knew they would be perfect so had to have them as soon as they came out.

Scrap the Boys April Challenge

The challenge this month was to create a layout based on clothing worn by a male. This is my take. I used the colours of the clothing DS has on - black, grey and red (his favourite) and I was also influenced by the top he is wearing. It's difficult to tell in this photo but is grey with black lettering all over it.

Out of the Hat April Challenge

Another photo that had been sitting on my desk for a while waiting to be scrapped. This is DD with her best friends at their primary school graduation last year. The criteria for this month's challenge were to use homemade flowers, use 3 different stamps and glitter/bling. I used Kaisercraft Magic Happens pp from which I also made my paper roses, which I glittered. I stamped the birdcage, the journal spot and a little corner piece.

Bo Bunny sketch challenge

I decided to have a go at the current Bo Bunny sketch challenge. It gave me a chance to use up some of my Flower Child pp, which I had bought when it came out but never got around to using. I sticked fairly close to the sketch.

Anna's Craft Cupboard April Sketch

Here is my take on Wendy's sketch for this month. I used some recent photos of DS at Top Gear Live trying out the small Peel car. I have used a mix of products - Echo Park Little Boy, Doodlebug design stickers and Purple Pumpkin felt flower. 

Show us your stuff April Challenge No 1

The first challenge this month at Show Us Your Stuff is to use the colours blue, yellow and pink and the sketch below designed by Michelle Fowler. I had some photos on my desk which were perfect for this colour combo. I used a handmade cloud and sun from the Chip Chop Shop and a button from Purple Pumpkin. The corrugated clouds and stars are diecut and the pp is Bo Bunny Popsicle.

March scrapping

I've been a bit slack at uploading my layouts so thought I'd better upload all my March scrapping as April is upon us. First up I managed to get 3 challenges done in the recent Scrapbook Savvy Stashbuster CC. For Kerryn's challenge we had to use pp by at least 3 different manufacturers, 2 different colours of cardstock and include a handmade embellishment and then make a card out of the scraps. Here is my layout using Bella Boulevard, Sassafras Lass and WRMK. I included some hand made clouds, that I made out of Fimo. And here is my card using the scraps. San's challenge was to make some gift tags out of scraps. I decided to use up some of my scraps from my Scrapz University kit that were still on my desk. Finally, I got Anthea's challenge done which was to use products that were CHA 2010 or earlier and a handmade embellishment. I used some Kaisercraft Konstruct and made a 'flower' out of pp, a large washer and a screw brad. I also got Anthea's sketch challenge at Scrapbook Savvy done for this month. This is DS playing with the new DS3 at Top Gear Live. Finally, for Scrapbook Savvy I did the kit challenge using We've Savvy March kit which featured some My Minds Eye Stella Rose pp and some gorgeous flowers. The criteria was to use staples, fancy cutting and 2 of the stickers included in the kit. I also managed to get the 123 challenge done for March. As you can see influenced by the previous layout. The criteria were to use the colour light/mid blue, the word to/two/or too and doilies. The photo is of my brother and his wife on their wedding day in Hawaii. Unfortunately, I didn't get to go.

Scrapbooking Top 50 also had a Scrapbuster CC and I only got 1 of the challenges done this month. Vicki's challenge was to use old flowers, buttons and ribbon as features on your layout.

Finally, I got the March Out of the Hat challenge done. I did this one on the last day in a couple of hours with my newly purchased Echo Park Playground pp.
