A couple more for this month

The first layout is for Emma's 54321 challenge at Scrapbook Savvy. The criteria were to use 5 flags, 4 embellishments, 3 word title, 2 lots of sewing and 1 brad. I used Crate Paper Brook pp and embellishments for this one, along with some Pink Paislee alphas. I finally got my old sewing machine out and had a go at stitching on a layout. Photos are of DD at Daylesford last weekend.

This second layout is for Wendy's sketch challenge over at Anna's Craft Cupboard. I thought it ideal for these 2 photos of Wang Wang and Funi but had trouble with the embellishments so left it mainly embellishment free to focus on the photos. This time I have used Jillibean Chicken Noodle pp, a panda cut from some Prima pp, some Prima packaging and Alphas from Pink Paislee.

Weekend work

Managed to get 2 layouts done yesterday despite going out for half the day. The first one up is for the April Out of the Hat challenge. The criteria was to use a black and white photo, stamped images (butterflies) and pop dots (used on the squares at the top of the page). I am loving Crate Paper Pink Plum at the moment and glimmermist and this is what I have used here.

Now for something completely different. This layout is for the Heroes and Villains CC at Scrapboutique. It is for Em's sketch challenge. We had to use handcut a border on one of the pp. Inspiration struck and I came up with this. DS and DD dressed up for book week back in 2002! I cut my black cardstock to look like a bat wing and used some very old Kaisercraft pp. But love the way it turned out even though there isn't much to it.

Another Scrapbook Savvy CC challenge entry

Just managed to get another challenge finished. Worked on this one before I went to work this morning and finished it off when I got home. This is for Sar's challenge which was to use bright colours, stitched buttons and something to do with the weather (I used a sun). The pp is from My Litte Shoebox - Away we go.

A few cybercrop entries

There are so many cybercrops happening at the moment and some interesting challenges but with the lack of time I've had to pick and choose some to do.

This first layout is for the Top50 Scrapbooking April Cybercrop. We had to use a photo of someone in a mirror, distressing, bling and 3 buttons. I took this photo of DS in the Hall of Mirrors at Luna Park over the summer.

The Scrapbook Establishment also had their cybercrop running last week. I normally do all the challenges but one got this one done. Jaimee's challenge was to create a monochromatic layout and include bling and a photo corner. I masked part of the title again. Am into this in a big way at the moment. I have another layout that I have used it on that I am only part way through at the moment.

This final layout is for the sketch challenge at Scrapbook Savvy's autumn cybercrop. Besides the sketch we had to use red, brown, orange or yellow for at least 50% of the layout. The sketch was perfect for these photos of DH and DD, which I took on holiday the other week. I have used some Crate Paper Paper Doll and Pink Plum.

First layout for the month

I saw this months From Scrap 2 Screen challenge before we went on holiday and I knew I wanted to do a page on DD's obsession with Little Miss stuff, in particular last year she wore a Little Miss t-shirt every day that she didn't have to wear her school uniform.
The challenge is based on the movie poster for Little Miss Sunshine. Extra criteria were to include yellow as either base, in title or photo mate. I have outlined Little in yellow (it's hard to see on the photo); Include little miss or little master in title; and include a car, van, train etc.

Back from holidays and a toot

Hope everyone had a happy Easter. We had a week away. We went up to Mildura to see DH's Dad and then spent a few days in Adelaide and visited these 2 at the zoo.

When I got back from our hols there was an email waiting for me from Scrapbook Creations wanting to publish one of my layouts. My first acceptance from them. I'm going to be in Issue 83 in the All Shapes and Sizes gallery.
I'll leave you with a layout I did at the end of March for the sketch comp at Anna's Craft Cupboard. It was also the sketch comp at ScrapLounge and I'm happy to say I won that one.
