Scrapbooking Stock CC

I took part in the Cybercrop at Scrapbooking Stock this last weekend. These are what I produced.

The first layout and card were part of Challenge 1, where there were a numbr of criteria to use on either.
For the layout I have used Kaisercraft La Di Da pp and Bella corrugated alphas.



My Easter card features a Penny Black stamp that I bought at Paperific last year. This was the perfect opportunity to use it. It's my first attempt at colouring in with watecolour pencils.




The next layout was based on a sketch challenge. I have used Kaisercraft Shaken not Stirred pp.

Finally, we had to produce a vintage themed tag and use ink, kindy glitz and ribbon. Used some Graphic 45 for this.

Top 50 March cybercrop

Well for the first time this year I actually managed to get not only 1 challenge done but all the challenges done.

The first challenge was to make 2 handmade embellishments which were to be used on challenges 2-5. I made a snowflake, which I used on challenge 4 and a flower on challenge 5.

The second challenge was to use the colour pallette blue, yellow, white and use white cardstock as the base, include a sun and a handcut item. I had fun masking some clouds and using my glimmermist. I used some Fancy Pants Summer Soiree pp and handcut a wave from it.

For the third challenge, the colour palette was brown, orange, yellow. This is the layout I came up with. You also had to use chipboard, leaves and a one word title. Again had fun with the glimmermist but it's difficult to tell on this photo.

Challenge 4 was to use the colour palette blue, purple, white. We had to use a winter looking picture, a stamped title, spots and stripes and a snowflake.

Challenge 5 was Chantals extreme spring challenge. The colour palette was red, pink and green. The endless criteria were: have a spring theme, flower embellishment, use 3 or more photos, use embroidery thread (but not sewing), use 3 or more buttons and eyelets, use stamps and use bling. I missed the criteria about the photos and originally only had 1 but luckily was able to slot in 2 small photos next to it.

The final challenge was to use criteria based on a selection of pictures we had to choose before hand. The criteria I ended up with were: a chipboard item, lots of distressing, a stamped image and handwritten journalling.

Another layout and a toot

This is another layout I got finished on Monday. It is for the March sketch challenge at Scrap a Little here I again used the Kaisercraft La Di Da range. Love the colours of these papers and have heaps of photos of DD to match them.

Layouts for March challenges

With the bad weather keeping us at home and the long weekend, I managed to get 4 layouts scrapped this weekend.

First up is one for the Scraplounge technique challenge. For this we had to use at least 2 punches. This is another case of me using up some old paper. I bought this Pink Paislee Fascinating last year but have old just got around to using it.


The next one is for Sue's challenge at Scrapbooking Top 50. We had to scraplift Sue's layout, include a quote and take 2 elements from Sue's layout. I took the butterfly and doodling. Really pleased how this one turned out. I used Crate Paper Bliss and chipboard elements.

This one is for Kathie's challenge at Scrapbooking Top 50. The criteria for this were to use 5 different patterned papers, 4 buttons, 3 cut outs, 2 word title and 1 piece of felt and 1 piece of cardstock. We also had to use distressing, inking and use one of the patterned papers for a photo corner. I used Kaisercraft's La Di Da. In hindsight I think it would have looked better on lilac cardstock.

My final layout was for the sketch challenge over at Scrap Pile. I used Kaisercraft Shaken not Stirred for this one.

Some just because layouts

These are some just because layouts I have done over the last couple of weeks. Some were just to use up some pp, some to use up photos and some were layouts I just wanted to do.

The final three weeks of LDOS

Week 4/5 was a 2 week challenge to scrap a mini album, with at least 6 internal pages about the lazy days of summer. My heart dropped a bit when I saw this as mini albums are not my favourite things. Anyway, I managed to do one using Bo Bunny Popsicle pp and lots of photos of our summer 09/10.

For Week 6, there was a bonus comp to create a tag with the colour palette of: yellow, pink, blue and lime green. You also had to include a flourish on the tag.

Then the challenge for week 6 was to create a layout using blind scrapping instructions which incorporated the tag. Here is my layout. I found the pp at Riot art supplies during the week, which matched the colours I wanted.
