Out of the Hat February entry

DH and DS have gone to the movies and DD is doing her own thing so inbetween loads of washing I've been scrapping this morning. This is my entry for Out of the Hat February challenge. The criteria were: to include a butterfly, buttons and bow and a 4 word title. I have used the new Kaisercraft Devonshire pp. I made the blue paper roses myself following a tutorial on the Bo Bunny blog here.

Anna's Craft Cupboard sketch entry

Not much time for scrapping at the moment. I'm working double hours at work until Easter as we are moving offices in April and are cramming 9 months work into 2.

This is a layout I did a couple of weeks back for the sketch challenge at Anna's Craft Cupboard. I've been wanting to do some house pages and use this pp from Bella Boulevard and finally managed it.

The Scrapbook Establishmet CC

Managed to get 2 layouts done this weekend for The Scrapbook Establishment CC. I think it was one of the few CC's this month that wasn't 'Love' based, which suited me fine.

The first layout was for Ngaires Inspiration Challenge. We had to choose 3 elements from an inspirational picture. I chose the colours - pink, red, brown and gold; hearts and clusters. I used Bo Bunny Love Bandit.

I also did Heidi's challenge, which was to use a song title as the title of your layout, 2 photos and chipboard embellishments. I chose Beach Baby as my song title, and a couple of photos of DD at the beach. Also used Cosmo Cricket Snorkel pp and chipboard.

Scrap Pile technique challenge

Here's a layout I did on the weekend. The first was for Scrap Pile's technique challenge, which was to use white space. I used some photos from DD's last birthday party that were hanging around and some scraps of Kaiser pp.

Top50 February challenges

I have managed to do 2 of the Top 50 Scrapbooking challenges for this month. This first one is for Kathies challenge. The criteria was to use distressing, flowers and an altered paper. This Prima pp has been sitting in my stash for a while and I am trying to use up my pp. I used a mix of Green Tara and Prima flowers and even made up my own big flower. The larger petals started out as cream flowers which I then Glimmermisted and layered.

This second layout is for Sue's challenge. The criteria were handcutting, handstitching and pearls. Right up my street. I used some pp from Bo Bunny Delilah range. I handcut the flowers and swirls and trees. I handstitched my ribbon and added pearls to the swirls and centres of some of the flowers. I love these colours and luckily had a photo of Eleanor to match.

LDS Wk 3 Christmas layout

It's been a crazy week with the kids back to school and I went back to work on Wednesday. I ended up working an extra day so although I did this layout on Monday, I've just got around to uploading it now.

Week 3 of the Lazy Days of Summer Comp at Scrap pile was to create a layout featuring Christmas 2009 and a handmade embellishment. Unfortunately, I didn't take that many photos this Christmas and have already done 2 layouts using them so decided to scrap a different photo. Every year I make something for Eleanor's teachers and the local lollipop ladies, who we've got to know quite well after 8 years of walking of to school. For Christmas 2009 I made some little stockings and filled them with chocolates and luckily had taken a photo of them.

My layout uses Bella Boulevard pp and stickers from their December Detail line. My handmade embellishment is the tree in the corner, cut out from pp and cardstock and embellished with rhinestones. I had originally planned to make a stocking to match the ones in the photo but the colours weren't right.
