I love Bo Bunny Popsicle

I know I really loved Alissa but I think Popsicle has overtaken it in my affections. I love the vibrant colours especially the blue and orange. Here are a couple of layouts I have done for challenges using this range.

Scrapbook Boutique scrapping

I've recently discovered Scrapbook Boutique - an excellent online shop with great prices and great service. I decided to join the forum and start taking part in a few of their challenges.
They are having their 2nd birthday cybercrop at the moment and the first 2 layouts are for that.

The first layout is from a sketch by Liz Weber. I have used MME Bloom & Grow pp. I love the way it has turned out.

On Friday night we had a speed scrap. Only an hour and a half to do a layout. We had a sketch to follow and the other critieria were - title beginning with B, 2 types of embellies, use a striped pp, and use a pp that has been in your stash for over a year. I used some Bo Bunny Alissa and my old pp was some MM Garden Party pp.

Finally, this was for the stylist challenge for July. Create an accordian album following the instructions given by Liz Weber. I used some of my Heather Bailey pp, which is great for OTP's.

More Top 50 Xmas in July CC Challenge entries

Last week I scrapped up a storm doing 7 layouts, 6 cards and an OTP. Here are the rest of my entries for the Top50 Xmas in July CC.

Challenge 4 was to scraplift a layout done by Ngaire Bartlem. I've never done a scraplift before. Here is my take. I have used Sassafras Lass Jungle Bungle pp.

Challenge 5 was to create a layout with crazy faces on it. I used some photos of the kids pulling faces. I used 3 Bugs in a Rug What a Hoot pp.

Challenge 6 was to use a pp with an edge to it. I used MM Fa La La pp and also used my avatar picture, which I altered by turning black and white and keeping the red hat and antler.

Challenge 7 was to decorate a box to put Xmas cards in.

Special mystery challenge was to use the photo we had uploaded in the photo scavenger hunt in Wk 1 of July. It had to be our favourite photo from last Xmas. I had already scrapped a layout with it so decided to add some extra photos of DD and DS decorating the tree.

I also participated in the July Xmas class run by the very talented Renee Dowling and produced these two cards.

Scrapbooking Top 50 Xmas in July Cybercrop and Blog hop

Another site that is having a Xmas in July Cyber Crop is Scrapbooking Top50. This is running from now until 17th July with entries to the challenges not due until 28th July. Details can be found in the forum here

For those participating in the blog hop did you find the hidden phrase beginning with C? Next you need to go to a royal scrappers blog. Don't forget to leave a comment to let me know you've been by.

I have managed to get 3 challenges done so far as well as the mystery challenge which took place on opening night on Fri 10th July.

This was for the mystery challenge, which we had to upload by midnight and we were only given the criteria about 8pm - produce a Christmas card using red and white scraps, ribbon and a stamped image. I'm not normally a night scrapper but managed to whip this up in half an hour. I had been making a Christmas card earlier that day so used some of the scraps from that. I ran some through my Cuttlebug to emboss. The patterned paper is BG Wassail and the stamps are Hero Arts and Kaisercraft.

This is my take on Challenge 1 a blind Christmas card challenge.

Challenge 2 was a this 'n' that challenge, where our criteria was determined by 4 numbers we had chosen earlier. Mine corresponded to - use a quote from a movie or song on your layout (I used the chorus from 'So beautiful' by Joe Cocker, which I journalled around the edges of the pp); use pp from 3 different manufacturers (I used Fancy Pants - summer soiree, Rosa Moka - Mec and Kaisercraft - Offshore); make your own flowers or flourishes out of pp (I made some fan flowers instructions can be found here on Helen Croft's blog); finally I had to layer flowers and ribbons.

Challenge 3 - Just one word saw us having to use the word 'GIVING' in the title and at least one technique. These are photos of DS when he was a toddler (over 10 yrs ago now!) and I have used Prima Dude pp.

Some more layouts

This one was for the Top50 Scrapbooking 30 weeks til Christmas Wk 11 challenge to scrap about some news. This is about my son's head injury and stitches after he was pushed into a locker at school a couple of weeks ago. I have used Rosa Moka pp and I am loving washers at the moment.

Another Top 50 layout for the special Christmas challenge. I had to use only red and green pp, inking and painted edges, the word 'Challenge' in the title, metal embellishments and stickers. More Rosa Moka pp and more washers!

This was my layout entry for the June sketch at TSE, which won. I used MME Bloom pp.

This is my entry for July's White with 1 challenge - to use white with purple and circles. Again I have used Rosa Moka.

Uproar June Birthday Cybercrop Part 2

As promised here is part 2 with the remaining challenges.

LoobyLou's challenge was to create a card inspired by the colours of your favourite ice cream or cake. I choose to do Black Forest gateau and used the colours - chocolate, black cherry and cream. I used a Darkroom Door stamp for this.

Kylie's challenge was to create a layout with 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of something. Mine were:
1 patterned paper, 2 photos, 3 balloons, 4 ribbons and 5 journalling strips.

Chris's challenge was to decorate a gift box using pp, lace, ribbon, flowers and something metal. I sponged a white box, added some Kaisercraft Sublime pp on the top and the side and put some lace round the side of the lid.

Here is a closeup of the decoration on the lid. I used a lace doilie, flowers, net, organza ribbon, brads, pearls and some pearl head pins.

The final challenge was to create a one off ATC using a birthday theme, 2 layers, 1 focal image, 3 embellishments and a number.
