Uproar June Birthday Cybercrop Part 1

I say Part 1 as i have only done 3 challenges so far and hope to get the rest done by Sunday.

Dalena's challenge was to prduce 3 birthday cards - 1 square, 1 rectangle and 1 shaped. At least 2 had to have candles on them, there were to be no words on the front cover and there had to be something in common on each.

Here is my rectangle card. The pp used is Scenic Route Surprise.

My shaped card. This started life as a stamp. I scanned it in to my computer and printed out a larger version of it and used as a basis for this card. The pp is Alison Ellis.

Finally, my square card, which used Bella Boulevard pp. This too had candles on it and the common thread between all 3 cards is the silver thread!

Corinne's challenge was to produce 3 gift tags from scraps and they were to match the cards.

Lisa's challenge was to produce a layout about someone at a particular age and note down things about them at that age. We also had to include something not normally found on a scrapbook page. I used washers. I have wanted to use this Kaisercraft pp for a while and this seemed the perfect opportunity as Robert was into everything mechanical at the age of 4. Still is at 12!

Top 50 cybercrop

Over at Scrapbooking Top 50 we have been having a Drama Queen and Tantrum King cc with entries due 28th June.

Here are my entries so far

Challenge 1 was to create a page about your drama queen/tantrum king using any or all of the colours purple/red or green. Plus we had to use one of the crowns that Tracy from My2Angels provided free for cybercrop contestants.

Here is my interpretation. I used purple with some pink and white. The papers are Rosa Moka Diva, which are divine.

Challenge 2 was to make a birthday card using the same colour requirements for challenge one and another crown. I used some Allison Ellis xmas papers.

The third challenge was to use 3 colours out of the colours provided and do a grunge layout. You got extra points if you used your avatar photo but I stuck with one of DS. Again I have used Rosa Moka pp but this time the Mec range. The colours are so vibrant.

Tracy had a mystery challenge, which turned out to be make a OTP for your drama queen. I had had this calandar sitting on my desk since xmas, half sanded so it gave me the impetus to finish it. I used Kaiser Airy Fairy pp, Buzz and Bloom 70's alphas which were painted and glittered.

I also participated in the Monday night cook off but accidently used the ingredients from the person below me - the criteria were to use at least 3 pieces of chipboard, bling, torn and inked edges and a 2 word title beginning with your initials.

Some cards

Every month at Uproar we have been having a RAK challenge, whereby the winner of the previous month sends each participant an envelope with an identical kit eg paper scraps, flowers, buttons, ribbon. Each participant has to make a card withe the kit and they are then voted on. I was lucky enough to win the May challenge with this card.

And here is my card with the June kit which I put together.

And here is a card I did the the June TSE Road Trip CC. The criteria was to use blue somewhere, a circle and the word 'wish'.

This is a layout I did for the May sketch challenge at Top50 Scrapbooking using Basic Grey Offbeat pp and rubons. I submitted it to the Basic Grey gallery a couple of days ago and this morning heard that it had been accepted.

Uproar Cybercrop again

First up was Kylie's challenge which was a blind scrap, which had to include a photo of your mum. I couldn't find any decent recent photos of mum so decided to scrap one of her when she was a little girl. Used Kaisercraft Dancing Jewels pp and an inked lacy doilie .

Second challenge was Lisa's which had to include lace and metal and be about motherhood. Again I went for the vintage theme and included a photo of my Great grandmother with my grannie when she was a baby. I used MME Bella Bella pp and some gorgeous lace i found at Spotlight.

Chris's OTP challenge was to create a vase of flowers made mainly from patterned paper and cardstock. This is my quick attempt.

Loobylou's challenge was to create a card from a sketch and include some embossing on it.

Finally, the ATC challenge this month was to create a card with the theme of motherhood.
